Get your Wallets Ready - Steam Sale Dates this Winter

I must admit, this is the first year where I've not bought anything in any of the Steam sales. Not because they've been poor quality, but because I've already bought everything I want in previous sales. Its almost as if the steam sales are a little oversaturated, I know it isnt the case, but it does kind of feel like theres a steam sale every other month lol.

Its been funny this year as a mate has been texting me saying "ooh, game X is up for blah blah" , to which Ive replied "already got it", then its "oh and so and so is 75% off !" , to which Ive sent back "already got it" and so on :)

Decent enough titles in the sales, its just that Ive already bought them all in a previous steam sale :D
 
Steam sales have gone well down for me. There's a few I pick up now and again, but for the most part I'd say places like GMG, GetGamesGo, GameFly, Humble etc run better deals these days.

and made about 10 euros selling trading cards :)

Planetary Annihilation is a game I've wanted since the Kickstarter but I don't know how I feel about paying £30 for early access...
 
LOL damnit ! Its just sods law ! I bought Xcom Enemy Unknown 3 hours ago for 50% off, and what pops up on todays deals, Enemy Unknown for 75% off , I swear they are spying on me !!! :)
 
Played a bit of Brothers last night and it's good but not worth much more than the price it was on sale for IMO. I personally think it's a bit over hyped by the reviews I looked at.

Very linear, with puzzles designed for a small child. Also way too short. Think I'm 3/4 the way through after a couple of hours playing it. The controls don't take long to master and work better than you'd expect, due to the fact you can't walk off edges and you only use 1 button and a thumb stick, so not much you can do wrong.

Dunno about MP but during single player, I personally get an occasional random freeze (3-5 seconds) more often as I play longer. I already turned off save replay option during gaming but that doesn't work either. I am not sure if it is the same 'lag' you are referring to.

However, having owned the first CoH, which I loved, I at first didn't like CoH 2 that much, but it has grown on me. If I can solve this freeze/lag issue, I think I would enjoy this game as much as the first one. It does have many cool new features that the first one didn't have. Alas, CoH 2 is not as open to MODS as the first one was, which still give the original my personal best vote.

For anyone who loved the first one, at £10, you really can't go wrong, plenty of things to like about this one.
