Get your Wallets Ready - Steam Sale Dates this Winter

Anyone had a go with castle story? Looks quite enjoyable and very tempted at a tenner, don't think it's going to get any cheaper.

Just wondered if anyone else could give me some idea if it's worth it or not :)

Its a cracking game, I have a 105 hours game time just learning the game and building castles. I have not played in in a 2-3 month as the path finding was a little borked. I am sure they have fixed it by now as they done about 3 patches since I last played. If it is you type of game I would buy it especially at £10.

Any good? It looks interesting but is early access at the moment.

I haven't played it yet. Aside from obviously the price and fps play in the video, I guess I was sold when they mentioned that their influences were titles like System Shock 2 & Half Life. I try to buy games only when they are £5 or less.

Civilisation V any good? Gold edition worth the extra? Tried an old version before (years ago)and couldn't get into it (learning curve), and that I think was with all the printed manual material which the Steam version won't have. Not bought anything this year. Was tempted by Bioshock Infinite but then saw it in the worst games of 2013 thread :). Might leave that until next year where hopefully it'll be cheaper still. Have enough games for now anyway, but tempted by Civi V

Yes

Yes :p

The tutorials are pretty good and the beginner difficulty levels are very forgiving so you can get to grips with the game. It still takes a while as it's a very in depth game but it's worth it.

Any thoughts on Natural Selection 2? It looks good for the price but is it online only and is the community still going strong or will it be empty?

Thanks.

I don't understand the hate for Bioshock Infinite. I think it was one of the best games of the year. The story and setting were compelling, the gameplay smooth and satisfying (especially when you had the rails to play with), and it was visually spectacular. The biggest gripe I've seen people make is it's not exactly like the first two games. And they're right. It's better.

Just Cause 2 for £1.99

Will give it a go for that.

Everyone loves this game. I so wanted to as well, the environment graphics are superb, but I couldn't get on with the controls. Tried both XBox gamepad and keyboard +mouse but didn't get comfortable with either. Played it for 6.5 hours, wasn't all bad.
