Batteries were provided by manufacturer of the mod (Kamry) and charger was Nitecore i4. :(

They were still bad batteries.
Most of the Vamo kits for sale in this country come with crap batteries and chargers that I would not use in anything. (just an example)
So even though they come supplied with the device, they are not necessarily a good battery.
The Nitecore charger is good, but in future get some proper batteries like AW IMR, Efest or Sony, Panasonic etc...
A vamo has a short protection built in to the circuitry, but a mech mod has nothing.
 
Well I got my Sigelei, impressed by the quality. However now, after two days of using it with my Kanger Pro Tank I'm having no luck. Getting a constant gurgling sound, the tank keeps spitting blobs of e-liquid in my mouth....


Tried two new coils and the same issue? any ideas?

Get some silica wick then take the top part of the coil off (the stick bit with the rubber cap) and cut a couple of pieces off and place them on top of the coil, this will stop the gurgling and leaking :)

Just a quick update tried the kendal mint cake from Mrs Lord as well last night/today and the flavour is beautiful, a nice note of peppermint on the first hit, slight menthol cool on the exhale and a fresh taste of mint left afterwards, thoroughly enjoyable.

I have also just ordered a Hcigar Kraken Clone, a starter pack of wire/wick from the vape mesh company and am looking for a dripping atomiser that isn't horrendously expensive, seen the IGO-L mentioned around here but not overly keen on the looks.

Meh had to cancel my order for rebuildable atomiser / dripper and Vamo V5 due to cost, it is so easy to spend money on this without realising how much it all adds up to! Looks like I am stuck with my ego kit and protank mini for now :( How much better is a vamo with a RBA anyway compared to a protank mini (microcoil + cotton) with a ego battery?

I also have a Nitecore charger from Fasttech, and afaik they are genuine.
I think he meant the batteries (but i may be wrong)
Kamry is not a recognised battery maker, they are usually just re-branded batteries and therefore imo not to be trusted.

@NRK, i have gone down the same route as you mate, started off on an ego with ce4's, then a protank etc...
I have a vamo and a KFL now and the difference is like night and day to me.
I have the Vamo at 11w and the KFL at 1.4oHms and its the perfect set up for me, so much so i am not looking to buy anything else.
A protank is ok on the Vamo, but over 8w it can start to burn.
If you not in a hurry, order the Vamo set and Kayfun off Fasttech or Vapourbreak? (iirc order delivery through singapore post)

I've decided I'm not buying a Vamo V5 kit, don't like the look of it anymore with all the buttons and screws. I'm buying a Sigelei ZMax V5 full kit with batteries, charger, clearomiser, and a handy USB phone charger. £64.99 from innovapours and they throw in 6ml of juice of my choice and nic strength. :) Also, based on good reviews, I've decided to buy a Vicious Ant Kraken clone. Looks very swish and I'm so pleased it has an airflow controller. Won't be buying it from fasttech at $12, I'll pay a bit more from over here, can get it for £19.99. I know, genesis style RBA, not exactly ideal for a noob coiler, but i'll just have to roll my sleeves up and get on with it :D

Sounds pretty similar to what I've just purchased! Where are you getting the kraken clone from? I hopefully have a hcigar one landing today. Also in the end I just ordered an Igo L dripper, for the price I forgot the looks.
 
This morning's Vapemail was a lovely custom blend of Raspberry & Salted Caramel, Salted Caramel on it's own, along with my regular "prescription" of Apple Tart :D
Too bad my dripper is away for a few days whilst the custom topcap and DripCan from Milo are reworked - guess they'll get an extra days to steep...
 
Ive given my Nemesis the day off and stuck my KFL back on my Provari for a change. Been months since I've not used the Nem....

Was using my nightstick (Vamo V5) last night too.

Several reasons, the Nemesis eats '350's for breakfast! I know their only little but it burns though them so quick. Stick the KFL on a 18650 vamo, or even the PVM and it seems to last for ever lol.

Other reason is the consistency of a mod with VW/WW. Yes i know i could get a kick or whatever but I forgot how nice it is to have the option to tweak the power.

Cant beat the little Nem/KFL for out and about though....
 
Right my kraken clone landed this morning, currently busy writing up a report but definitely going to take time to rebuild this later with the materials included, can't decide what style to attempt first with this being my first ever build.

If you're buying clones then my advice is to get the FastTech version of:
Nemesis
Nemesis magnets
Kayfun Lite Plus
---------------------
Batteries and charger from Torchy the battery boy
Microcoil kit from Redmogg (not sure if he includes cotton in his kit)

and be done with it. There are loads of coiling videos on YouTube to help you out. If you are new to rebuildables then coiling and wicking a Genesis may leave you frustrated.
 
The Nemesis clones are so good it's ridiculous. I didn't get mine from FT in the end, it got returned to them after about six weeks and I got the hump and got one from eBay for £30 but it's ace, love it. Really tiny in 18350 mode and has a really nice feel to it.

KF 3.1 clone from FT is great too imo, not tried the KFL/Russian one.
 
Guys\Gals is there any other company in china other then fasttech?
I only ask because they have stopped answering emails and other people have tried to contact them by phone but the line was dead.

For form factor only the microstick can beat tube mech mods imo. I recently showed mine to a smoker at Manchester Royal Infirmary who tried egos but stopped vaping after the button broke on him.

He loved mine. He said for a tiny device it had a hefty weight to it. I told him where to buy it from and explained sometimes it's best to pay for quality. :D

I'm slowly cutting back or atleast I have settled down on my vaping journey. I'm going to get one of Marcus' VapeStations on UKV and I'm luckily enough to be trying it out soon. :)
