What film did you watch last night?

The Untouchables.

6/10

I like the story and the setting, Costner is the best in it, but there were moments that were cringeworthy beyond belief - such as ALL the scenes de Niro was in as Capone and ALL the scenes with Sean Connery.

It was made in the 80's and had an 80's soundtrack throughout which just didn't fit in the 1920's setting.

Disappointed as I had higher hopes for this film, but I think after having just watched the latest episode of Boardwalk Empire, I was always going to be expecting too much because Boardwalk is just so good.

Die Hard with a vengeance
Brilliant film, wasn't keen when it first came out, but I think that's due to a totally different format to the first two. But it is quality.

8/10

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

9/10

Love this series what a fantastic film! I can't wait for the Mockingjay Pt1 and 2 to come out. :)

About time 7/10.

Quite enjoyed the movie, but wouldn't watch again. I always feel slightly guilty after a Curtis film! that I am not making the most of my life.

Frozen. Fairly good looking; good snow and ice, good fabric and hair, but some textures looked a bit flat. Songs were ok, it was funny in parts. It's no Tangled, but it was ok. 6/10 I think. The kids liked it, which is the main thing for a holiday cinema trip.

Oh yeah, I liked the ending. The subverting of the "true love saves the day" trope was most welcome. 9/10 for the ending.

Total Recall (2012) - 4/10

Will Smith gets his brain wiped and becomes Colin Farrell in I, Robot 2. Many films get ripped off, none of Kate Beckinsales clothes get ripped off and I feel ripped off.

Feeling late to the party.

About Time

Very well made feel good film. Typical Curtis. Interesting premise that could have have been pushed more then it was but it didn't stop it from being a thoroughly enjoyable film. It ain't going to win any awards but it did bring a tear to a 39 year olds eye.

7.5 - 10

Lone Survivor - good film, paid good respect to those. Those guys went through a hell of a lot.
Just came back from watching that too. Good film.

One of the Trailers was for Sabotage, a film written by the screenwriter for Training Day and End of Watch. Despite being an Arnie flick it looked promising.
