Looking for a decent rebuildable tank dudes.

I have a Kanga Protank (v1) that seemed to be getting harsher and harsher no matter what juice I was vaping, changed out the coil for a lesser ohm and it was fine for a few days and then really harsh again.

A local Vape shop opened up and I bought a similar tank (Ecco something or other) and it leaks and is just shockingly made. (It's threaded itself onto my Vamo :()

Any ideas on a decent tank that looks nice as well? Will be going on a Vamo.

Snap lol but its still working fine so i might just leave mine a bit longer.

Regarding wicking, as Yas said, the cotton should be snug in the coil, if you pull it side to side it should move a little, not too freely.
Also i cut it about 1cm.
Wet it with some juice.
Then using a finger nail, push the wick to the side of the deck so its sitting tight to the side of the deck but not covering juice channel

Kayfun or Aqua. Personally I'd get both :p

I'm a purist kinda guy and I believe that the simplest way is best so use ss mesh 325 or 400 grade and .2, .25 or .28 kanthal giving a 3/4 wrap.

You could use a microcoil and cotton also but for me it's just more of a faff with genesis style atomizers.

What problem is it giving you exactly? Try following how Scott builds it

I have been vape free for a month now :)

No more need to vape or smoke :P.

It was not my intention to stop vaping I just randomly decided.

I FULLY support vaping and I still help people day to day in the various forums I am in.

Also lol I still tinker with my gear but i have no desire to vape at current :p.

I may vape 0 nic juice :p.
 
One of my current padawans has moved from an EGO-Twist too a Siglei Legend and Kanger Kanger Protank III.

He has just decided he will be trying a IGO-L aswell :O.

This is my most successfull converteee :P.

My problem is mainly to do with the coil overheating at spots causing a burnt taste if you try and take a reasonable draw. I'll watch the video and have another go later tonight, really want to get it working nicely.

My personal suggestion?? the Kayfun Lite, superb atty and very easy to work with especially if you use micro coils with cotton.

For a beginner rebuildable atty you wont go far wrong with the KFL aka kayfun lite.

Mine is about a mth old in my KFL and it works perfectly fine just like the day i did it. No point changing it unless its not glowing up properly.

Any suggestions for on-line retailers?

Also, by rebuildable, I meant so I can change the coils/wicks when they're knackered, I don't mean rewicking them and making my own wicks and all that jive.

Is the Kayfun the one to go for? Can you buy the replacement wicks easily enough?

In that case then no. Get an Aspire BDC and a pack of replacement heads. Or maybe someone can make you a dozen or so 1.5ohm microcoils and all you need to do is add your own silica or cotton into it. :p

If the price is putting you of look for "alternatives" that have been mentioned in the thread.

Aqua is fantastic you can dual coil those atomizers :D

I want something simple like the Kanga but better quality I suppose. Isn't the Aspire a cartomizer?

I would like to swap out the coils/wicks with replacements etc. I don't mind paying 20 quid or what not but this vaping lark is getting expensive!
 
Thats why I mentioned the Aspire rage Gimp.

Its either them or a Protank of one variation or another.

Or you start rebuilding your attys like KFL's etc.

Cheers dude, I'm not liking the cheaper ones like the Aspires, I'm looking for an alternative to the pro tank then really I suppose.

20-30 quid would be fine :)
