Woman in London wearing a niqab stalked friend before throwing acid in her face

I agree in this case, but we don't know how much extra time and resources it took the police to investigate this case.

Hypothetical situation, if you were to rob a bank would you stand more chance in getting away with your crime with or without a face covering?

Your point is?

Is your name Tyrone?

I guess if we saw someone wondering around in a ski mask in public or wearing tights on their heads we would be interested to know what dastardly crime they're about to commit.

They were lovely because they were nice people, not because they were muslim.

Yes, but what I am saying is that not every Muslim that wears a burka / niqab / black thing is evil, and not all Muslims should be tarred with the same brush.

There's good and bad Muslims as well as good and bad <insert religion>.

That face coverings should be banned in public as they pose a security risk. Ideally we need a similar policy to the one used in France.

France did not choose to ban the face covering because its security risk... Its just like saying we should stop selling knifes as its security risk.

Out of interest why is HCl so easy to get hold of?

Is that, where to get it or why is it easy to get it?

Plenty of legitimate processes use it, and you can get 5l for £10 on ebay.

Same thing for chemical weapons, a few use commonly available chemicals, you can't ban them just on the off chance someone wants to make some Chlorine or Phosgene gas

Attacks with Sulphuric acid are more common in the toilet countries, because it's found in old batteries

Ha no definitely why not where.

Of course loads of legitimate processes use it. The bit I'm struggling with is domestic uses I cant think of anything that requires HCl in such quantities/concentrations.

So are we banning masks now?

Sorry kids no Halloween, it results in a massive crime spree.

Over reacting to a very small perceived threat is stupid when it infringes on the rights of individuals.

How about trench coats? Could conceal lots of weapons.

In fact, concealed weapons (e.g. knives) even in the UK is a larger threat than most things. I say we all have to wear skin tight clothes.

Oh wait, that is absurd because it starts infringing on your liberty to wear what you want. It's easy to say when it's a minority as there's only a few of them.

What abouts shoes and soccks, trousers and pants. Same thing applies.

No it doesn't. Even if someone was to conceal their identity by wearing their trousers over their head, that itself would draw a lot of attention.

If I ever robbed a bank, I would wear wear a burqa. It's the only form of identity-concealing clothing that would not attract immediate negative attention and a requirement to either remove it or remove myself from the bank. It's perfect for crime. Someone wearing one could commit crimes right in front of surveillance cameras with complete impunity. I'm surprised it isn't used more often by criminals.

OP Permabanned? LEL

On my part though anywere in cities/travel systems etc face coverings should be banned. I know there only following religion but its in the interest of public safety. Although on this story she would have done it with or without covering her face i bet
