My current setup is

SSD 120 GB : windows installation

2 TB HD: Data
2 TB HD: mirrored volume

The SSD is going to be RMA'd and I've got an old 1 TB HD to use as a windows drive until I get a new SSD. What will happen to my mirrored voulme? Will I have to add the volume again and re-sync?

Is it software or hardware mirroring?

Did you create the disk mirror in your BIOS (or BIOS tools in windows) or did you create it using Windows disk manager?

It's software, just mirrored the volume from disk management.

How about cloning the SSD to the HDD?

I wouldn't be 100% sure but you may lose that if you have a re-install of the OS.

If you clone the SSD to the HDD you should be OK, provided the HAL doesn't change for windows it doesn't really care.

actually, i'm getting BSofD inpage errors (reason for the SSD RMA), so that windows installation might even be corrupted. i'd probably be better off doing a fresh install
