Hi guys, new to the forum and introduced myself on the new members area and i was wondering if i could get some help? Basically i don't seem to be getting as much FPS as i should be getting. With one GPU on BF4 i was getting between 80-110 FPS and with crossfire it's about the same.

I've made sure crossfire in enables in ccc, frame pacing is off, motion blur etc is off and ULPS is off via Saphire Trixx. I've checked whilst ingame and both GPU's are running fine. Could it be a hardware issue?

I'm running a 4670k overclocked to 4.2, 16gb DDR3 1600 ram with an EVGA 1000w PSU. Mobo is MSI Z87 G45. Thanks in advance! Looking forward to being more active on the forum :)

Check this thread. However your main problem looks to be a cpu bottleneck. Mantle will help with this. Hang tight until its released.

Thanks for the reply pal :) Ah i see so it's my CPU causing the issue? Would it help at all if i OC'd it to 4.6? or do i need to upgrade? Many thanks.

An i7 would be ideal if you can afford it. It will remove the bottleneck completely. You're bottlenecked in some games (bf4-crysis 3 etc) by a lack of cores/threads rather than your cpu's pure grunt. If you can overclock it, that will help. It won't cure the problem though. However Mantle *might* cure the cpu bottleneck problem completely for you in BF4 and other mantle games.
