What have you done to your car today?

Dropped the oil, fitted a new oil level sender, replaced filter and gave it 6 litres of Castrol.

Also found that the button tabs on my dash clocks are goosed though meaning I can't reset the indicator. Balls!
 
Got insurance. Not cheap...£1100! But doable with all mods current/planned on the MX5 covered like for like.
 
Got a knock on the door to tell me my NSF tyre is flat. Arse was a new tyre 2 months ago.

Time to fit the spare...
 
I got some new AutoGlym stuff for Christmas and finally got to try it out today.

I use:
PH Neutral Snow Foam
AG Shampoo
AG Super Resin Polish
AG HD Wax
AG Glass Polish

Quite happy although I'm awful at photographing my car!

4x Toyo t1r
TRS Tow strap and Sparco helmet since I'm going to start track days this year
6000k HID kit for the Zetec S

E46 should have come with them imo. The car had euro projector lights fitted before I bought it that has them built into the headlight but they are very yellow and make the car look old so with no way of removing them I atleast made them look updated. You mentioned you didnt like the E39 with white angel eyes but I feel it makes the car look so old to have yellow ones.

No need to take the **** just because you dont agree. :rolleyes: Not being a top of the range coupe means its missing some of the nicer bits that make it look abit more special

Your car, if you're happy then that's all that matters.

Kind of want to wrap the bottom of my steering wheel, but in something OEM looking as the plastic is fading and looking terrible in places.

No problem. Its surprised me how factory it looks matching the carbon cube trim and the 4D carbon looks pretty real. My wheel had a white mark on the one side which looked like it had worn through the top coat of black which is obviously hidden now. The air free vinyl is really nice to use.
 
Just given it what might be its last wash. Guy driving to come and see it tomorrow from some far off place with a view to buying. Fingers crossed.

Decided it was right to do it properly, so full snow foam, shampoo, clay, shampoo, polish, wax. Looks lovely.

Also collect our new car tomorrow afternoon, so could be a day of car total win potentially !
 
Today I broke my O/S/F suspension spring. Luckily for me it happened at slow speed and didn't rip the tyre or brake pipes to bits. Booked into the dealer for Monday to have both fronts replaced.

That's the thing, with Xenons in the middle the yellow OEM angel eyes on the e39 work really well (imo of course) - It makes the xenon bulbs look even more striking compared to having them surrounded by a ring the same colour (as found on newer models).
 
Was suffering a nightmare misfire on the S4 and fault codes came up showing ect sensor so I got a new one to fit but before I could it got worse and fault codes doubled.
Bought some new plugs and got about starting there.

Might be the issue...

Might still be a coil pack issue which I couldn't check as I started changing the ect sensor and lost light. I say I... My hands are quite big!
Got to love her! Will finish it off tomorrow and hope its all cleared
