What have you done to your car today?

Used a useful 5 foot deep hole to fix a blowing exhaust

This has made my Monday a happy Monday.

Earlier in the thread there was a link to car mats for £11 and I ordered a set. Today they arrived.

Well there's no mistaking that they cost £11, however for a winter set that are just going to get trashed, they are most definitely worth it :) (thanks again to whoever posted the link)

No problem ;)

I got mine about 8 months ago, and they are still going strong, just a brush and a wash every so often and they are good to go :)

Ooo a good old fashioned pit.

Wish I had a good old fashioned pit.

Or a 4 poster

Even a 2 poster would do.

Tbh even a garage would do! I spent Saturday evening shivering on the couch

Those mats will be excellent for putting over the BMW mats :) My BMW mats have lasted over 4 years now, only the driver's mat shows signs of age on the heel bits as they've worn down but it's not too visible to most people. I wish you could just buy a single driver's side mat from the dealer but they want £75 for a full set which is an arse and a half.

What I tend to do for winter/wet seasons is put rubber mats that cost less than a tenner from Tesco, those one syou can cut to fit the right size cupping the footwells so that way water and crap doesn't slide over the overmats and onto the carpeting. They're so cheap I bin them after and get a new set the following winter if they get in a bad state.

Looking for bit of advice with Spraying wheel bolts.. Best paint in black to do this as i don't like caps?

And can i spray my lock nut bolts or should i not do that?

Put new head unit in the s15, works well but the plastic bezel thing won't fit under the console, too wide. This makes it look kind of bad, and there's a gap between the unit and the climate.

I was planning on just taking the BMW mats out and putting those in, don't you find there's a little too much foot-well clutter with both in?

Didn't realize you can get rubber mats that cheap (although I was looking at the fitted ones) so will take a look at those too, thanks :)

The rubber mats have spiked underside so dig and stay on top of the bmw mats, stops them from flapping about :p

Not sure on the nang kangs mate just figuring out what to go for when its time for summer wheels to go back on as one of my rears is getting on for needing replacing. Is BMW the best to pick up some original mats? Are they worth the 75 quid over a 50 quid after market set?

They're not Nankang!

And yes, you can't get new genuine ones much less anywhere else as I've not found any. They're the best though unless there's a 3rd party on that offers thicker piling and stuff but they'd cost more still.

:)

Just dropped the car off to the body shop to have the scrape on the front passenger alloy refurbished again. Let's see how long it lasts before the next scrape... :o
