i5 4670K, i7 4770K or AMD Equivalent?

I'd grant that it's noticeably smoother at the higher clock speed, but the telling thing is that the GPU utilisation is so much higher at 5.1GHz, which is why. Would be interesting to see the same comparison with an Intel CPU at ~4.5GHz vs the AMD at 5.1GHz, see if the GPU utilisation is higher or lower.

It's an FX8350 at 4GHZ versus the 5.1GHZ.
You can see a noticeable improvement over it.

I got that link searching for Intel versus FX in Arma 3, saw that, but didn't read :p

The frames rates across the board are somewhat disappointing though to be honest with a Titan.
Not that I've ever played or rated the Arma games for their performance :p

Yes, I know :) That's why I think it would be interesting to see the same comparison, but with Intel i5/i7 @ 4.5GHz (near enough the maximum OC that most see) vs FX8350 @ 5.1GHz (better OC than most).

Thats really not bad at all that is it.

i7 4770K @ 4Ghz = 53 FPS
FX-8350 @ 4Ghz = 48 FPS

i7 4770K @ 4.5Ghz = 55 FPS
FX-8350 @ 4.5Ghz = 52 FPS

i5 3570K @ 3.4Ghz = 51 FPS
FX-6350 @ 3.9Ghz = 47 FPS
FX-4320 @ 4Ghz = 46 FPS
i3 3220 @ 'locked' = 45 FPS

That's how you do a review tbh. I like how they clock every chip to pretty much the given clocks.

I like techspot, I really do.
But they've got two sets of results seemingly.
Look at the 3.5GHZ Haswell result, then look at it in the bottom graph, difference FPS.
