which portable drive

As tittle looking at getting a new portable hard drive that can work on mac and pc.

Was looking at Western Digital 'My Passport' portable hard disk drive, 2 TB.

any external drive will work on both Mac and Win, but not at the same time, because of the formatting.

Passports are good.

Not true. HFS is Mac only. NTFS can be read on the Mac but not written to. FAT32 or exFAT are read/write on both.
