Im thinking of changing my Bitfenix ronin for a case more capable of coooling 2 290s and a 4770k.
The 4770k is currently being cooled via a h100i and 2 corsair sp120s very well, but in the current case thats really about the only place i can fit a rad.

I have 1 290 at present and am waiting for some monies to hit my account and then im looking at possibly adding a second one.
I will have, once i sell my h100i, around £700 for maybe a card and case and water cooling kit if at all possible, This is about noise reduction mostly as the 290 is soooooo loud IMO, i have a custom fan profile set to about 68% which keeps the card at around 85 degrees when gaming, but the noise is just silly.

What would you guys and girls do ?
buy a second card and new case and leave the water cooling? (although i would like to try it at some point)

Leave the second card and buy new case and water cool what i have?

keep my monies and do nothing and put up with the noise ?

I game in my living room while the wife reads on her nexus 7 so noise could do with being reduced somehow.

Hiya pal,

I just did the same thing, although only got the one 290X for now.

Moved from my BitFenix Ronin to a Nzxt Phantom 630, it's a great case with tons of options for watercooling.

Here's some pics of inside,

Radiator options
Roof 120.3 or 140.2
Front 120.2

Rear 120.1 or 140.1
Base 120.2 or 140.2

Hope it helps.

monies just been refunded by another etailer so should hit my bank on monday i hope :D

Now i really must decide what to do, water cool what i have to decrease noise and temps or add a second 290 for more FPS, but i really need a different case for this.

or do i sell my existing 290 flashed to x on mm and buy 2 Sapphire Radeon R9 290 Tri-X "BF4 Edition" ?

Arr you wanting to water cool just to keep the GPU(s) cool or because you are wanting to anyway (no matter what cards you have)..

If its the latter keep your card, grab a H440 when they come out. Chuck a 240 in the top and a 360 in the front and be ready to add a second. .. :).

if its the Former sell your card and grab an aftermarket 290.. Or 2.. No need to ditch the ronin then. :).

just watched the video review from oc3d lol he wants to marry the dam case the way he goes on lol. I like the black and red version i must say and pricing if correct will be good less than 100 quid, and capable of water cooling what i would like at some point soon.

The noise factor due to the heat of these cards is my biggest concern, im using a h100i at present and this would be sold for the custom loop.
Wonder when they will be available to purchase?

with a 360 in the front how many hdd will you be able to fit in?

That's the right idea, I would get a pump/res combo with a D5 though. Best pump in the business.

I know it may seem tempting but I think for you, a cool quieter air cooled rig with 2 aftermarket 290's.

because of costs this is what im thinking about doing, might buy the Phanteks Enthoo Primo for sort of future proofing as it will take pretty much anything :)

Very true..

It an awesome case, though there are new phanteks cases of the way soon which MAY be worth waiting for, the Luxe and the Pro

Couple of thoughts for you also, Bay Res are nice but Enthoo has a door hiding that area, you won't see that bay, if your not bothered then that's a good way to go.

If you want a bit more bling opt for the EK pump and tube res combo, you can mount this at the bottom of the case, Enthoo includes a moveable pump mount also.

I would put a 420 rad in the top, that's 3x 140mm fans, Enthoo has 5 x 140mm fans as standard. If you buy only 120mm fan type rads you will need more fans.

Buy a 360 for the bottom, buy 3 fans for this, phantek also do the 140mm fans the case has in 120mm, they are seriously good fans IMHO.

Have a look at the Heatkiller 290 block, it looks superb. My PC is down ATM or I would link all the bits i was buying for mine.
