A councillor, more than just a member. The headline would have been exactly the same if it had been a Labour councillor (except, obviously, it would have said Labour).
 
Can we please have a new, "Science and Facts" political party with elected alumni to run the country? The system obviously isn't working when numptys like this are allowed anywhere near the political system. Tony Blair wouldn't admit his convictions until out of office. That should speak volumes.

Whilst they sound great, and I wish it was the way the world could work, Technocracies don't tend to actually work that well.

I look at the moon landings and the fact we're now in 2014 and it makes me want to cry. :(

Well he's only a Councillor so I'm comfortable with him holding such views, he has no ability to act on those views but he does have every right to hold them, no matter how deluded he may be. If people don't agree with his dated views then they can vote him out when his ticket it up.

Through this whole debacle I was more impressed with the response from UKIP, they acknowledge that he's a fruit cake but it's his right to be a fruit cake. I hope the usual suspects can learn how they too can have a backbone in letting their members tell it how they see it instead of towing the party line. Hard working families. Bankers Bonuses. Wow. So much BS.

I can't see humanity ever reaching the utopian heights we see in science fiction to be honest. A large proportion of the planet can't get out of the dark ages and agree on which imaginary friend is best for starters. No chance of interplanetary travel in my lifetime then. Thanks, cretins... :rolleyes:

Lol no it's just the only example of a self-defined Technocracy. China isn't actually to far from it though, Ahmadinejad's government had elements of it too.
