What film did you watch last night?

mavity.

I thought the roles were acted quite well. Bullock annoyed the hell out of us both though with her constant blundering about (I guess that was the intention being under such stress and panic - "JUST GRAB ON FFS!" I found myself shouting on numerous occasions).

The cinematography and camera methods used are excellent, film buffs love it for this. Although I did find the constant camera pan left to right a little annoying at times (although I understand this helped emulate the vastness of space and also the claustrophia experienced by the crew). There were some real "wow" moments and some nice touches.

Overall I really enjoyed this and would watch again

8/10

This is The End - 2/10

Erm.... I want my 1hr 46mins back please!!

Probly one of the biggest piles of **** I've seen in a long time!! I've only given it the extra mark as I jumped out my skin when the Deamon Dog thing jumped through the Wall/Window!.. :o

Not many reviews for Wolf of Wall Street, you guys wanna get to the cinema instead of pirating :p

£15 Unlimited Cineworld ticket, can't go wrong.

Anyway, the film in question, brilliant!

Finally got round to seeing the Hobbit 2 with my boys and my Dad. Enjoyed it but they've really padded it out compared to the book! And a dwarf/elf romance? Really? I can see why he would but not why she would. And what about the age difference? Can't see a future in it to be blunt.

A few movies i watched last night whilst the missus went to bed.

Bad grandpa...poor and not very funny other than a few scenes. Expecting more but was disappointed...3/10

Carrie...the new remake of the classic horror movie. Not very good i thought, in fact pretty terrible compared to the original one...4/10 for me.

The Wolverine.

7/10 - It was good until it got further to the end and he was fighting what appeared to be an enormous adimantium robot.

I'm about to watch Riddick.

Watched a couple last night as couldn't sleep...

The Untouchables with Robert Di Niro, Sean Connery and Kevin Costner, it was alright :p was worth watching but probably only rate it around 6/10.

12 rounds 2, with Randy Orton. Again it was alright, nothing special but worth watching. 6/10 again.

Clearly that's not your kind of movie then (AKA a Seth Rogen Movie)
Pineapple Express? Knocked Up? Superbad?

Personally I thought it was brilliant.

Don't worry:p TBL is unforgettable and yet....

:D:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

I said forgettable, not unforgettable :) And for me, that description suits it very well, as I can remember very little about it. I have a sense that it was a reasonable film but I can't remember any of the characters as I've only watched it once and that was over 10 years ago I think. To be fair, it is far from the only movie that I've watched only once and not in the past 10 years that falls into that category, but equally there are a few that had something notable that has stuck in my mind (Ryan Gosling's performance in 'The Believer' for example, I found utterly staggering in an otherwise mediocre film - at the time he was a relative unknown yet he completely dominated the screen in a way I'd very rarely seen from such an inexperienced actor).

Watched RUSH a few nights back, Although it was a good film I ended up feeling disappointed, I think it would have been much better to have been more about Niki Laudas career, Also I didn't really feel a proper sense of speed & I also think they should have used more Real footage from back in the day.
Worth a watch but a real let down for somebody that was about watching it for real as a kid.

Watched a few recently.

Last Vegas - thought it was going to be terrible but actually I quite enjoyed it. 6-10

Short term 12 - someone nice low key performances. Very genuine film 7-10

In a world - was expecting much more after looking at the reviews first. Good in places but I thought it tried to hard to be a cool low budget indie film. Not as clever as it thinks it is. 6-10

Riddick - loved the original. No where near as cool and some of the effects were pretty shocking. Still entertaining all the same. Not a bad film by any stretch. 6.5 - 10

Her - first half of this film really impressed. The way it looks is just stunning. Phoenix in the lead was also fantastic. Loses a couple of points for the way it tapered off in the 3rd quarter and the silly high waisted future pants. Still a very good film. 7.5 - 10
