Another $1000 GK110 GPU from Nvidia.

I think its safe to say we are not going to get any new high end cards for a while yet.

We are still on with refreshing the old, yet again.

One must note, however, that the Titan (and thus, by extension this "Titan Black" or "Titan V2.0") is not entirely aimed at gamers - it is more of a workstation card with gaming elements; so a kind of hybrid card for those who use GPU intensive applications (including benchmarking software) but also do some gaming as well.

So, with that said, it doesn't really fall into line (for want of a better phrase) with all of Nvidia's other releases in the heavily gaming influenced GTX market. Therefore, we may not be as far from the new series as you might think - treat this supposed "Titan V2.0" as a separate release.

Not even I will be tempted by a Titan Black Edition if such a thing exists. And why you ask?

Because for nearly 3 grand to simply match what I have now - would be satanic levels of financial neglect :D


Got some more VRAM I might use in several months though so it's all good ;)

As much as it's been a powerful GPU, I wish the GK would **** off already. Feels like they're setting a record with the number of releases on a generation here.

I want new stuff.
