blimey! enough pics in that thread!!! damn!!! fair play to the guy he cleans the **** out of that car!!!! :D gives me some washing goals to aspire to! (or well... consider and then do a half arsed effort ;) )

I did, but I don't see how it changes anything

I don't think he's saying it changes anything, just that it's unusual for a woman to be interested in car detailing, in much the same way as it's unusual for a man to be interested in makeup. Please tell me the world hasn't got so politically correct that a statement like that is sexist?

It is a little sexist, don't you think?
Women can be interested in cars, whereas I don't think make-up is predominantly targeted at men.

Men can be interested in makeup as well, but very few are. I'd agree that cars aren't targeted specifically at men, but car detailing products and suchlike most certainly are. Of course there's women interested in detailing, but the overwhelming majority are men.

I think making an observation that a woman is doing something most women don't do is perfectly fair: no one is criticising her for it, quite the reverse in fact!

Haters gonna hate.

I bet you all that you wish to have car clean as this one.

I see one good point. Weight reduction. I bet car lost 1-2kg of weight :D

Anyhow. She can do my ITR anytime. TBH i can spend ALLOT of time cleaning my car cause i like it 5 hour car wash is nothing special to me :P

I could maybe understand it if the car was either something rare, expensive or a classic (not necessarily an expensive classic at that).

Very committed, I will clean mine weekly when possible but would never go to that level. Still, who am I to judge how someone spends their time.

Not at all IMO. It's not like he's saying "make up is only for women and detailing is a man's job". Typically however, that is the case - more men enjoy detailing cars than women.

Crikey, want to over-analyse that a bit more?

For what it's worth, I was only trying to point out that a number of other people had made the assumption it was a bloke by their statements. I certainly wasn't trying to load my statement with any sexist agenda. *sigh*
