The MSI 280X@£227 is only on offer today.

Do you have an aftermarket cooler you can reuse, if so, you could get the OEM 4670k and save a bit of cash.
Maybe change the Psu. But other than that the rest looks OK.

Thanks for the reply, I havent got a cooler so was just going to use the standard one and liked the idea of the 3yr warranty.

Whats wrong with the PSU ? and what should I be looking for in changing it ?

Also would you recommend that I get the MSI 280X and the i5 4670k or i7 4770k ? I was kind of thinking that the i7 might be overkill and not worth the extra cash that it is.

If there is a problem with the Cpu it will most likely occur in the first 12 months or be DOA.
The 4670k and a 280x will be more than enough for most games.
Psu, I would look at getting the SuperFlower Golden Green HX 550W or if you are likely to want to add another 280x in the future, get the 650W version.
With a decent cooler you can OC the Cpu to get more performance out of it.

Ok thanks for that, but whats the difference between the corsair and Superflower psu's ? What makes the Superflower one a better bet ?

I would say definitely pick up the MSI 280X on offer today and also change the PSU to a SuperFlower, they have better internals. Better hurry up only one 280X left in stock and at that price I wouldn't miss it.

This is the cheapest 280X currently:

YOUR BASKET
1 x MSI Radeon R9 280X Gaming Edition LE 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £239.99
Total : £249.59 (includes shipping : £8.00).

It's JUST (as in today) come off pre-order, so i suspect the price will only rise.

The LE means it a slower clocked version than the standard gaming, its 950mhz core instead of the 1000mhz core. The memory speed is the same as is the cooler, for a nice little saving its a great buy..

What spec power supply would I need to run a card like that ?

A decent 500W PSU would handle it.

So would all this run ok on a 600W PSU and is that memory ok / good make ?

Mobo MSI Z87-G45 Gaming

CPU Core i7 4770K

Mem TeamGroup Xtreem LV "Frost Edition" 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C10 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit

GPU MSI Radeon R9 280X Gaming Edition LE 3072MB

HDD1 Samsung 830 128GB
HDD2 Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM

Well I did have a Corsair CX600M down, but guy earlier recommended and Superflower. Is that memory ok and a decent make ?

Superflower are obviously the better make but both will run the rig. I think the superflower will help overclocking more but... The choice is yours. I would go superflower though. :)

On the memory side, teamgroup is a good budget make (which is nothing against it atall)..

I would go for this RAM though:

YOUR BASKET
1 x TeamGroup Vulcan ORANGE 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit (TLAD38G2400HC11CDC01) £55.99
Total : £64.69 (includes shipping : £7.25).

Same speed, cheaper and low profile. Low profile being my main concern.

Excellent thank very much.

So 600w Corsair or Superflower would be fine and that memory. Not really going to overclock I dont think.

If you plan on going xfire(I.e. Adding a second 280x) in the future then go with the 4770k, of you don't plan in xfire then I'd suggest going with the 4670k and non reference 290 or a gtx780.
