I am in your shoes as I've used the free version for about 10 years but it really is as simple as pay up for a service you obviously get a lot of value from or move to another free service.
They're not running a charity.
I never said they were. However, their handling of this situation leaves much to be desired. If they had given a month's notice and offered a reasonable pricing plan then I think they wouldn't have annoyed as many as they have by doing what they've done now. I have 5 computers that I occasionally access. Paying out over £100 per year just for that facility makes no sense whatsoever. Add to that my value as someone that uses their other products, and has recommended them to a lot of people that I deal with, it makes this all the more annoying for me.
