Ferrari F14 T 2014 Launch Thread

Not at all, the front of the nose has to be low with a minimum cross section.

Most will go finger nose, as they want the rest of the nose as high as possible, to aid airflow under the car.

Lotus is also totally legal, as you are only allowed one front part at the allocated size/place so making the other nose slightly shorter gets around the rule.

Thanks

I like that, so far at least, we have a few different designs of noses... they are all hideous, but at least they are different from each other :p

ok it's not making a great impression on people but what is it about the nose that people don't like?

I'm actually not that keen on any of it but if it wasn't stepped it wouldn't look tooo bad imo. The tip isn't _that_ bad looking.

It's the fact that it's coupled with a step that makes it look pretty ugly though :/

edit- actually I take that back, the front nose tip is ugly :|

I don't like the way it steps down and the wide mouth at the front. Reminds me of one of those fish that have huge mouths.

Uuuuuuuurgh.

Looks like they have kept the tub as high as possible as far forward as possible then dropped away to fit the bulkhead height limit, whereas the Lotus, Williams and McLaren have a gradual slope to the bulk head.

It really isn't a looker!

It going to be interesting to see which front wing design will work out the best, given that all three cars revealed so far have vastly different designs. I'm looking forward to seeing what direction the other teams have gone with, some teams could perhaps have to go back to drawing board - just like the Double Diffuser development race in 2008.

Anyone know why the nose has so little space under the tip, when for the past few years everyone has had as much space undereath as possible, and with McLaren and Lotus this year trying to minimise the amount of bodywork at the center of the nose?

Front wheels back - absolutely fine.
Front wheels forward - MY EYES! IT BURNS!

It's the worst so far, and that's some stiff competition.
