He now decides that he doesn't want his 'treacherous' uncles family around, so he ordered the executions of his uncles siblings, their spouses, the children and grandchildren.

Now I'm no big fan of needless military action, but how long can this man be allowed to continue in this manner? If he's off-key and sadistic enough to do this to his own family, I have no doubt he is capable of far greater atrocities given the chance.
 
North Korea aren't competent enough to really pose a threat to anyone. It's like worrying that the miniature built out of wood Iranian fighter jet is going to bomb your town while you sleep.

So because he's no threat to us, should we just let him carry on brutally executing loads of innocent people on a whim?

Pretty much. We can't really afford to be a nation fighting perceived injustice wherever it pops up based on reports coming out of a secretive country.

Many years ago (20+) there were a lot of rumours about bio weapon research in NK, where basically live humans were used as subjects.
Think Josef Mengele, but way sicker.

I wouldn't be surprised if they had a few nasty things ready to try out.
 
There needs to be a coup there (NK elders/military, not Anglo/American :p), he could turn out to be a pretty nasty tyrant.

Yer that's pretty unlikely! even if they did have oil, china would be all over it like a rash, ensuring no military action would happen.

What do you propose doing? North Korea has a solid ally on the UNSC, a massive standing army, possible nuclear weapons and enough conventional weapons to level Seoul.

Whilst its sad that a society advanced enough to land a man on the sun is also ruled by such an evil person I'm not sure that this is enough to warrant military action given the stakes involved and potential massive loss of life that might involve. He's already carrying out far greater atrocities... look into north korean labour camps for example... its unlikely to change unless China has the will to make it change - given that they also use labour camps and quite like having a buffer between themselves and S.Korea + their American allies they're in no great hurry to do anything other than occasionally tell off Kim Junior on occasions where he goes full retard...
