Sorry for those are you who thought this may have being something else. :p

Still for an old girl, the 7990 can put in some very impressive numbers:-

Turn off the Tesselation in the AMD drivers and the scores start to get a little crazy:-

So who like me is rather excited to see what AMD's and NVIDIA's new dual GPU cards can achieve when you crossfire/SLI a pair of them! :D

Nice Gibbo.

The 7990 is the best dual gpu card around, without a doubt. Here's my single 7990 score from the firestrike thread. Decent gpu score.

14271. GFX Score 18665. 7990. Air cooled. Physics Score 13044. CPU 2700K @ 5.1 Water cooled - LtMatt - Link

I could have gone further with it btw, but my PSU was not up to it.

Are you using Matts bios Gibbo?

Yeah no throttling BIOS, I was testing them as we've had a few back un-wanted from customers or that they were faulty.

Three out of four fine, they were not thrashed too much, only about 1130Mhz on the core and upto 7000MHz on the memory. Four one works, just fans don't turn, so that's gonna get blocked up. :D

They have now all being B-graded and purchased by staff to mine on, LOL. :D

Great stuff you lucky devils :D

Matts bios is excellent and it really does make a difference.

Oh and for those interested, a lovely 3000 Hash Rate from that setup in mining. :D

For the record it's worth remembering that via Mantle, game dev's are free to support beyond quad fire, and without the need for xfire bridge connections....

Find yourself some silly mobo with a couple extra chips to enable more 8x pci-e 3.0 slots and...... things could indeed get crazy.

XDMA is only supported by Hawaii AFAIK.

Do you have a date for the 790 then Gibbo?? And so AMD are also doing a new dual card?

Slightly off topic but a date on the titan black as well :P?

Gibbo why do you and 8 Pack always use the lower settings in Unigine Heaven 3.0 (as commonly used by these forums as you say), your results always look artificially high, we have had Thread to compare with for ages, please use these settings so at least a comparable comparison can be made.

5. Score 3707, GPU 7990 x 2, @1185/1594, CPU 3930k @4.5, ToxicTBag

We prefer Heaven 3 thats why we use it. We use the settings from the Heaven 3 thread. As all cards are benched this way it allows us continuity and people to compare one card directly against another. We have been using this since day one. All over the web Heaven 4 results exist so anyone wants these they can easily look em up!!

I only bench this on air for these reviews. Its not a points getter on HWbot so other than reviews has no purpose for me. If it did. I would try on LN2 for sure.

As 8 Pack says, we prefer it. :)
If you want to compare, just run Heaven 3.0 yourself at the same settings as us.

Kaapstad's Unigine Heaven 4.0 page is hardly ever out of the first page or two and he updates it every day, would be nice to see your update results in their, with all the latest cards its just an easier reference for everyone that's all.

Yup, going to have to be Mantle as well, no cpu would not be massively, massively, massively cpu limited with 8 Hawaii cores, even if Nvidia manage to get beyond quad sli, dx will kill it hard.

They do need to get a Mantle 3dmark or something going on, in fact if they got 3dmark and enabled 8way gpu's on it... lol, 3dmark benchers wouldn't touch Nvidia for a long time.
