I picked up a 400g pack of cheese and thought it felt heavier than another pack of the same, plus it wasn't a flat rectangular cut but wedge shaped, looking like there was more in it. Took it over to the deli counter and asked the woman to weigh two packs. One came up 398g, but the wedge shape one came up 498g! I got 25% extra because something obviously went wrong at the factory. Into my basket then, thank you very much :D

cheese is seriously overpriced it is scandalous. saw a 500g block of pilgrims strong cheddar in the shop today, £5. a fiver for a bit of ****** cheese. imported french bree was a fraction of that for the same size.

I bought some cheese at asda yesterday and went though the self service tills so I can bag at my own pace rather than trying to keep up with some idiot flinging items towards me at light speed whilst giving me less bags than I need....

had to shout for assistance as teh cheese was not the expected weight. (first item I scanned)

I bet barely any of them are exactly the weight listed

Agreed but I can't have jacket potatoes , baked beans and creamy coleslaw without CHEESE!
  • cut potato almost in half. (big baking potato the ones that are pure brilliant white inside and quite juicy)
  • split apart.
  • take a sharp knife and slice lines along the potato.
  • add butter and let it melt into the potato.
  • grate cheese onto the potato the more the better.
  • add a dollop of creamy coleslaw onto each half.
  • fold them back to their whole shape
  • pour on baked beans

nom nom nom nom

To be honest, I don't know why people still buy cheddar.

Rationing ended over 60 years ago. You can have something other than government cheese you know?

Chedder is one of the best melting cheeses going! Block of chedder here though is 8-9 euros! Ooof. It's still a great cheese. Tell me another melter like chedder?

I bet it gained the extra weight just sitting in that pack. Your lucky that it didn't escape on the way home.

I used to live with a guy who ate Asda Smart Price "Cheese" now that was good awful and definitely fell foul of at least a couple of trade description laws, there was no discernible cheese content that I could taste.
