*** The Official Samsung Galaxy S4 Thread ***

Kitkat is smaller than you'd think. Last rom i updated to in full was 400mb

TW Full ROM?

AOSP KK is ~ 300MB and TouchWiz KK will be ~2GB! :o

Though the OTA Update will likely be around 500MB, i.e. a lot larger than 130MB in Tysonator's update.

Atleast we agree on far later :D:D

I'm using the latest Omega ROM at the moment and I'm having lots of issues with it. Can anyone recommend an alternative?

I've been using Foxhound the last 6 months and its been very good.. I have however just made the step up to 4.4.2 and are currently testing the Echoes Rom (v14.1) and so far it seems good (just had it since last night might you).. Foxhound is more tweaked in terms of default theme, colours, etc, so I might go back to that after testing Echoes for a while.

If your phone is as bought it should just happen, a symbol appears then you press install if you want it, I won't install unless there's a fix for the non Samsung s view case issue.

Just in case you like me aren't bothered with triggering Knox (as its coming up to 1 year anyway) I can highly recommend Echoes v14.1 (Android 4.4.2).. I have used it for a couple of days now and it is GREAT.. Im coming from Foxhound, which worked fine, but Echoes seems to be even smoother and battery life is great.

Samsung's have a 2 year warranty.

Not bad.. Thats fine, I have played around with all my phones in the past and so far its all gone fine.. (probably gonna start having problems now, having said that. lol).

In which case, if you are bothered with your warranty dont install Echoes. :)

1. i need a extended battery..........I bought one and it was great even though the phone was bigger but i dropped the phone and smashed screen so........

2. i need a case and extended battery type thing. Something like that spigen case that locks around the phone would be great?

Does anything like this exist?

cheers

^ Yup spigen slim armor view, great case buuut unless Samsung sort out the chip issue the s view functionality is lost when we upgrade to 4.4, however they have a few weeks to sort the problem and it is a great protective case, I would rather not upgrade to 4.4 than change cases and I have a few spares.

what the spigen allows for extended battery?

something like this i tihink but in the uk?
