Elder Scrolls Online

What you basing that on? as most people who have had early beta passes have said good things?

At the very least it will fail on consoles. Who wants to pay for PSN/Gold, and then another monthly sub, plus £40+ for the game?

It was leaked that the game had a $200m budget, the same as SWTOR, and considering that was Star Wars it had a huge fan base, certainly bigger than TESO or ES ever has... and that failed hard too.

I bet my bottom dollar TESO ends up F2P, and that's the only time I'll try it out.

Subscription based games are not where it's at, and nothing will achieve what WoW did, or beat it. (no I am not a WoW fanboy, I don't actually play it anymore)

I agree with him, I was mildly interested in this until I realised it's a £40 game, hen a monthly sub on top of my PSN/Gold subscription.

I'm not OK with that at all on consoles that I also pay to access their online.

I understand you do not need PS+ to play this.

You only have to 'double dip' on Xbox One, as to play the game online you require both a subscription and be subscribed to the Xbox Online service.

To play the game on PlayStation, the game does not require you to have an active subscription to PlayStation Plus. No double dip.

It's a small difference though.

As for the free to play argument/debate, I am happy to pay for something I enjoy and I am sure there are other gamers in the same mind set.

i watched the trailer on my xbox one, looks good, but i wish they showed gameplay rather then a cutsence,

i would probably take the leap and buy game and pay subs but i need to see the gameplay first

A freind who doesn't pc game has been pressuring me to get this, after playing some PC beta this weekend I can safely say I won't be getting it.
It's the worst mmo I have played and plenty of f2p PC mmo's are better.
I've been looking forward to a console mmo that I could sit on the couch and play but this won't be it. Real shame.

What issues did you find it has?

All the gameplay I've seen for this game looks really quite horrible.
We watched a bit on Sat night as 2 of my mates are huge Elder Scrolls fans (i'm not personally).

If it was F2P, I think 5-6 of us would have at least agreed to get 1 or 2 months subscription to mess about with together. But because it's a £40 game + Sub ain't none of us even going to consider trying it from what we have seen.

I don't judge things until they are out though so will give it a chance to improve.

Never liked the MMO genre anyway so I'm notreally the best judge of the gameplay I seen when compared to others in the genre

I love everything about TES but I have a feeling this will go **** up :( after the first few months I think there will be a big drop off and they will be forced to review there strategy, the subscription model in gaming is outdated and to charge us £8.99 a month on top of the initial (full price) purchase is crazy, if they want to charge monthly then surely the game has to be heavily reduced or dare I say free? or charge under £5 per month. For what there charging I expect zero server issues, butter smooth gameplay, no connection problems etc and regular sizeable content, I can only see hardcore Elder Scrolls fans investing in this and when the likes of Destiny, The Division, The Witcher etc comes out they will face an uphill battle to compete, also I just read that large parts of the game won't be available straight away, instead different regions will be available at later dates! again if I'm paying this much I want the whole thing straight away in its entirety, despite my moaning I know I will buy this at launch as I'm a big fan of the series I just hope they can pull this off

Huge TES fan.

Played 2 beta's for this and really not feeling it at all. Just seems like any generic MMO. Nothing faintly TES about it :(
