Virtual :p Not True 5.1 :D

I just hope it makes me **** myself as bad as the haunted cathedral level did in The Dark Project

That looks a lot better then the earlier demos I saw and its a good job they have ditched qte as well but its sad that there will be no Stephen Russell to voice Garret.

Was really looking forward to this but I have heard two early reports that were very underwhelming. The acting is laughable apparently and I know that's not game play but it can take you out of it.

My worry now is the price has dropped allot and it's not even out yet!

yep seen it for like 17 quid very worrying. not a big title cant see it being anything but middle of the road. Mantle lovers will probably just use it as a benchmark prog though :D

Textures look last gen...... So flat and low res...

Do people not know about tessellation and parallax occlusion mapping

The new consoles simply arent powerful enough in my opinion.

Unless we get some real pc exclusives I expect to be very dissapointed by the graphics for this new generation.

Sadly I think you're right, and I'm thinking it is largely to do with the XB1 specifically. I've seen a few people in the industry saying that the tools need to come along way before we see 60FPS at 1080P. Now, is it just me - or is that pretty pathetic considering these machines have to last us 5+ years?

I think also, with using UE3 (when UE4 is ready and willing) we're still a year off from not catering for the 360 / PS3. Where using newer engines is a complete waste of time.

If you look at GTA5 and TLoU on PS3 - graphically these are superb considering the hardware they're running off. Especially considering the amount of RAM/VRAM they have.

If you translate that to the new consoles (well the PS4 as the XO is graphically inferior) then you can realisitically expect some great looking stuff in the near future.

The memory was what held back the last-gen consoles really and there shouldn't be any such limitations this time round with 8GB DDR5.

If running UE3, the game will be CPU Limited so gains from Mantle are expected to be high.

The engine is from the Xbox360 generation, don't expect miracles.

I thought the trailer and graphics looked very underwhelming, a kind of Skyrim presentation. Not that I have anything against Skyrim but that is over 2yrs old now.

We'll see, definitely not a pre-order that's for sure.

Also this should not be in this part of the forum.

Not discussing game content so it's all good ;)

Oh definitely, it's just a shame we'll have to wait ;). The 360s 512MB of RAM, to achieve playable frame rates with GTA 5 with only that to play with is nothing short of amazing.

Good trailer.

Looks fun, but the characters are showing the age of the engine. I always get bored playing any game that relies on you sneaking around, but as this can be played both ways it has possibilities. I do like the atmosphere of the city.
