Tomb Raider coming to Xbox one and ps4

It looks the same in real life all these videos are nothing like it is. Both slow down in parts but not enough to make the game bad. Both consoles run it very well in my opinion.

Either your eyes or TV are broken if you can't tell the difference between 30 and 60 fps, do you have some kind of motion smoothing feature enabled on your TV by any chance? That would make 30 fps games appear far smoother than they would normally.

I can tell the difference happily on the PC. This looks smooth on both and nope no motion smoothing on tv.

Has anyone apart from me actually played both versions rather than watching some videos online and can comment ? Maybe as it's a third person game it is less distinguishable than say if it was a 1st person game ? But I'm definitely not seeing the horrendous results shown in these videos and reviews.

The videos are captured from the consoles, there won't be any difference in person, can you see the difference from the videos? If you can then there is something going on with your TV, it's that simple.

I don't need to look at the videos I have both versions here now I'm comparing by playing the games.

I have the Xbox one connected to my PC monitor so no motion compensation. PS4 is on TV via amplifier.

I do not own the XBone just borrowed it to play Ryse.

Awesome game, really enjoying on PS4 and glad I waited, am about half way through and not noticed any fps drops, after coming from Assasins Creed 4 Black Flag I have been so spoilt with gaming greatness.

I love my Ps4, it's nice to play games at full detail, will not be going multi console this gen as I've always had in the past.

Yes, played both and it's very noticeable in the action sequences which one is running at a higher frame rate.

On the flip side when it drops frames it's often quite jarring (i.e. when Lara is on top of the radio tower)

I'm playing through this again on PS4, was not that long ago that I played it on the 360!

But that being said I am still enjoying it.. its a great game!

Yes when playing games I am so immersed in gameplay I don't download programs to show FR's on screen, the PS4 fanboys are obsessed with slightly higher res and higher frame rates when in real world play you hardly notice them, loving the snap integration, PS4 fanboys try and browse the internet whilst doing something else at the same time please now that is something you really notice isn't there once you've had it :)

I use my ipad to browse the net whilst playing, this allows me to enjoy the game full screen :)

I get the point of the 30fps vs 60fps argument, but honestly I don't see why it needs to be repeated so often, it still runs great on the Xbox One so who cares.

Yes I am enjoying the mostly 60fps Tomb Raider on my PS4 but I am also equally enjoying the 30FPS Assassins Creed 4 on my PS4, it's not like now we are on the next gen 30fps is suddenly unplayable.

These first round of games and ports are never going to maximise the consoles potential, the publishers just want them out as quick as possible otherwise I am sure the Xbox One would have achieved 60fps with more development time.

It's because people who were brow beaten over the PS3 are now reveling in the fact the shoe is on the other foot and they can't stop themselves.

didn't stop hoards of 360 owners poking fun at ps3 owners , I remember reading scores of pro 360 owners poking fun when a digital foundry article went up saying ps3 had 5% less performance...

still moving on, I've nearly completed it on ps4, taking my time, getting the collectables etc... if all ps4 games look and perform like this, I shall be one happy ps4 owner.

Just started playing this on the PS4 and was wondering if weapons/tools are modified? I came across a box early on with the axe symbol but couldn't open it even thou I had the axe. Also, I can't seem to equip the axe with D pad, I guess this is a tool that's used in certain situations? Sorry for the n00b questions, why can't games be easy like Alex the Kid in the old days.

Did anyone else get stuck at that bit near the end of the game with the cage hanging from the ceiling? Annoyed the hell out of me. Never did figure out how to do it properly. Ended up using a glitch I discovered by accident which teleports you to the top of the cage rofl.

Id have rather they made it constant 30fps like Assassins creed.
