play station plus worth it?

Why? I always thought GFG was made to compete with the IGC component of PS+.

ps3ud0

Which was my point. If it IS supposed to be competing then MS are doing any extremely poor job of it as the games we're currently getting are extremely poor compared to IGC.
You have Dead Island vs Metro: Last light, Bioshock Infinte and Remember Me.

EDIT: Here you go:

July 2010
PS3 Game: Little Big Planet, Wipe-Out HD.
Game Add on: Kill Zone 2 Content.

August 2010
PS3 Game: Zen Pinball.
Game Add on: Motor Storm: Pacific Rift Content.

God knows, guaranteed he'd say that wasn't the first month of ps+ though :p

Hand on heart I think it'd be very hard for anyone to say GFG stood up to IGC, them having xbox one games soon is quite interesting though, they can't pull their usual years old games out of the hat!

I reckon it will be around £10-£20 to upgrade to the full game, unlike £35 for killer instinct.

also killer instinct is a beat em up, the development skill and time taken to produce drive club would dwarf that taken to make killer instinct.

it's a far superior offering

Have you played either of them?

Ps plus is best thing about sony consoles. We have 2 ps vitas and 2 ps3s in the house and one subscription does all 4 consoles and for what about 3quid odds a month. Family has defo had the moneys worth out of it

Even since its early days when PS+ titles were wipeout HD and Zen pinball on the PS3, its been very good value for money, the service started out well, but then just got better and better.

Microsoft have gotten nowhere near what Sony has done with PS+ with the GFG. If you are a PS3 owner and are thinking of a getting a PS4 or own a PS4 then PS+ is really a must IMO. If you've got a vita as well, then you'll get enough games each month to keep you well entertained.

I've always thought of xbox live gold as a bit of a rip off (although understand they used the money to invest into a very stable online system, I didn't like the idea pay services were also behind a pay-wall - something Sony doesn't do), I was at first skeptical of PS+ but PS+ has without doubt won me over when they provided me Wipeout HD and Zen pinball - hours and hours of gameplay, and been a subscriber ever since and played a lot of games that I'd not have looked at or even purchased but haven't had to.

not too long ago uncharted 3 was part of the collection, infamous, the list goes on and on...
