I don't agree and I'll tell you why.
Back in 1989 Mrs Dimple was a child minder and she baby minded a male the same age as my youngest daughter from the age of 3 months.
Even at that age there was something different about him and has he put a few months on he acted like a girl.
When he could walk he'd go after the dolls & pram and when a bit older he dressed up with my daughters but I put a stop to them putting dresses on him which he loved.
He went through all school with my youngest and of course he's gay.
There is no way that he chose, he just was.
I've also known 3 straight men with wife & kids who could take their lie no longer and just couldn't carry on with a heterosexual lifestyle.
Nobody chooses gay unless you are.

I was picked on for having glasses. Why is no one calling for opticians to be banned? Won't someone think of the children?
Eh? You've just listed a load of random things, some which are natural, some which are controllable and some which are complete personal choice.
No one replaces your eyeballs for inferior eyeballs just so you have to wear glasses. Having degraded eyesight is a natural process.
When an offspring is born they all have a male and female parent (100% natural). When you replace one of the parents with a homosexual you are intervening and you are the ultimate cause of any "two dads fun making" which will occur.
Becoming depressed due to being made fun of is not a linear process. People making fun of your two dads could easily be much more devastating (and/or the tipping point) than someone calling you fat or four-eyes.

Erm you guys are implying that a child "acts" gay as a toddler? Are you guys serious? Picking dolls and dressing up in dresses does not represent a direction in sexuality it's seems like an absurd notion. Just because a toddler wears skirt does not mean he is gay, skirt is currently only female ware due to social factors so why would a child be labelled as gay if he chooses to play with dolls and wears skirts before he can even comprehend the social structure of clothes and toys belonging to certain sex or more absurd notion that such preference dictates sexual orientation.

I agree because my young nephews also did the above but this lad was 'different' and showed a very feminine side unlike my nephews who were proper lads. My nephews did it for fun but he meant it and continued to be female all his life and he's now 25 and living with a bloke.

As I explained before, all I said was he acted peculiar, I was 6 at the time when I first noticed. The only reason I said he was acting gay is because later on we worked out that he is gay. Anyway, to act gay you have to be gay, by definition he was gay. Gay men act gay. Dressing up isn't a tell tale sign but did swerve me a bit growing up and when he admitted it to me and my pals on a night out together we were not surprised... hmmm.... what lead us to that conclusion for year and years, we had to laugh together.

What? I have written a dissertation in chemistry, every reference to a scientific paper was from a specific page in a specific volume of a specific scientific journal. Look at the header/footer in any published scientific paper you can find, and I bet it will have a volume number and page number in it. Just because something has a volume does not make it a book.
So that clears it up, peculiar observation that children at such young age would act differently to straight ones in a noticeable way.

Yes 100%.
My Father In Law, who is now dead, always said his younger brother always acted feminine and of course he was gay and lived through some bad persecution during the 50s & 60s. He always laughed that nobody would choose the way they were treated back then unless you couldn't help it.

Well I'm not your typical liberal spokesperson, nor am I'm afraid to voice an opinion even as a minority of one, but I don't think you have the insight to comment on how gay people experience their orientation.
For what it's worth I've talked to a fair number of gay girls and they mostly follow the same basic pattern. First some sense that they were different (ages 4+) then a feeling of closeness or admiration of other girls or equally a fear of them, then a confused teenage period as they try to work this out without any sort of role model. Then into sexual attraction and all the self loathing that that involves.
At no point was any of this chosen by them.
Some find this the most miserable experience ever and would do anything to just fit in, hardly an orientation to wish for.
I'm sure you have your reasons for thinking as you do, but if this is something you've just decided without any actual experience then I'm sure you can recognise that such a stance is built on sand.

Though I don't see why you need to liberal to think like this, it none the less needs quoting.
Personally I spent years self harming, self prescribing with alcohol, and in bouts of crippling anxiety at what people would think and was regularly bullied before I slowly came round to the idea that their problem with my identify was exactly that - their problem, not mine. I still worry from time to time about coming out, but it's easier now that the people I care most about know and accept me for the person I am, not who they think I am. Believe me, if I could have chosen to be 'normal' I most certainly would have done so, and given just about anything to have that choice.
In fact I find people who've never had their identities challenged, ridiculed or called unnatural assumming being gay is a choice, and therefore all people who choose to be gay are degenerate sexual deviants who should be shunned by society frankly appalling.

Although there is one thing I must take issue with because I don't understand it.
I mentioned that I knew 3 men who I worked with for years and were proper 'men' with wifes & kids but eventually came out.
When they came out all 3 ended up with the 'voice' that is such a stereotype and strange because I have many gay mates who talk normal.
Where does this 'voice' come from?
