Well that cycle home was interesting.. Few hairy moments when the gusts hit from the side
It's pretty outrageous that when the home counties get a bit damp the government wade in (no pun intended) and start making a big fuss about it.
I've just heard on the radio that flooded businesses will now be getting tax breaks. What about the northern businesses from recent years that were affected?! Seemingly no one gave a toss back then, but when a southerner's rug gets moldy... different story.
I don't mean to belittle the awful situation some people are in because of flooding but to call it a warzone and an unparalleled natural crisis is just rubbish.
I'm meant to be travelling to Manchester tomorrow, hope the trains aren't too messed up...
Same here and at one point I was at a 45 degree angle
I even had to turn the motor on for about 300 yards because I couldn't go forward.
there's been lots of talk about building houses on 'flood plains' but surely everything is flood plain depending on how high the water level gets.
