Hi guys, spent today putting my system back together after installing my WC setup. The mobo has power, all cables are in properly, but it only boots for a second.

Any tips appreciated.

Sorry about the crap quality, done with my nexus.

Try a CMOS reset, sometimes this helps.

Alternate issue is the PSU is detecting a short, try with only memory stick installed.

tested the power supply with the paper clip test? 12v power connector connected?

I'll try the reset option, the system should be fine, I never removed the memory and I've been using this system for almost a year.

I had the 24 pin adaptor in the PSU when doing the WC loop.

Hmm, did you need to remove the cpu from the socket at any point?

I still wonder if the PSU is still detecting a short.

Ok I'll try that, I'm using a corsair 750D, I have taken out the post in the middle as it just sticks up out of the mobo, wonder if that's the issue :/ means taking everything off though which sadly I don't have the patience for!

what cpu/board/memory/psu?

nyway to power on the board with onboard/mb power button? could be faulty front panel power button?

CPU is i7 3770k, 16gb corsair dominator, MSI mpower z77, seasonic 1000w platinum.

The system worked fine before, its only now that I have installed the WC loop that it's not booting up. Don't think it is, pressing the power button does the same as pressing the power switch on the mobo itself.

I did ye because I've used the naked ivy mounting kit because my CPU is de-lidded.

My thoughts are with possible bent pins in the cpu socket, but in some occasions this courses stability issues / crashes rather than failing to start.

I'm only going to ask this to completely rule it out...did you spill anything? Any connectors touching anything they shouldnt be?

tbh ive never seen a pc startup and shutdown so fast, normally its longer than that

seemslike a short somewhere to me idk,id also try using onboard graphics/no hdd's attached and just one ram stick

try a quarter turn undone on each cpu/heatsink mounting screw aswell
