Right well my GVC arrived, I've put a fresh wick in the KFL+, filled her up and well I'm impressed, very very strong vanilla flavour which is what I have been after. My opinion might alter after a while but I'll be vaping this for a week or so and time will tell!

I've ordered a nemesis clone, a switch magnet upgrade and kayfun clone which will arrive before end of next week.

I've watched various videos on how to rebuild the kayfun and vids on the nemesis.

I can't help but think that a kick is necessary on this and all mech mods, is this the case? If I weren't to use one, could I short the nemesis, or just see detrimental vaping?

If so, can anyone recommend one, along with a UK based seller for a 18650 and charger kit?

Looking forward to wicking my own ato :)

I get my batteries from here http://www.vapegear.co.uk/Batteries_and_Chargers/cat1826720_1971846.aspx
I would say get effest batteries

Redmog linked some good UK 18650's a page back; Xtar WP2 for the charger, pretty sure there are a few on ebay Uk.

*Edit.

Batteries though - I keep recommending the Samsung INR18650-15Q ( 18A Rated ) from [email protected]. £10.75 per pair, delivered. Gives you room to sub-ohm to 0.35ohm, without spending the extra on the excellent(but unnecessary when starting out) 30A or the useless Efest 35A, but mean you won't need to buy new batteries when you do decide to go full Mechanical.

Check out torchy's batteries on ebay, his own brand are good for someone just starting. If this is your first time make sure you have an ohm meter in order to measure what your coils are running at in order to avoid over straining the batteries.

So, I ordered Yorkshire Fog on Friday and used it unsteeped on the Tuesday. BY GOD!! It's AMAZING!!! I bought some Everton Mints from work and they taste amazing similar! HIGHLY recommended! Also running a 10-turn .3 guage coil, no-idea of the ohm rating because I sold my SID to my step-dad to be and sorted him out with 3 coils and my Protank2 all for £40 with charger and a battery.

I also have, sitting here topless (OI OI!!) a small bottle of Apple Danberry, smells fantastic!

Well considering i keep seeing people using cotton yarn (real cotton wool knitting stuff) and following a few links on UKV, ive got myself some sugar n cream 100% cotton yarn/wool in white and ecru (ecru not bleached or something) - first impressions are not that good, could be me but its a totally different flavour to normal cotton wool and miles better than the silica ive got (could be crap stuff) more testing needed i think for this.

I just posted about this on UKV, but am interested in opinions on here too. Please see this video from, from 31:50 'steeping'
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgjpc0rQWbc

where he says with an electric milk frother he's able to reduce steeping from 3 weeks down to just 3 or 4 days. He says it really works. Whisk liquid, it goes cloudy. Let it go clear. Do this three times then it's ready. So I'm thinking of ordering this frother, £1 from Ikea:

http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/30100041/

and I guess I'd need a syringe to decant from bottle to glass and back to bottle.

His main theory other than added exposure to air, is that whizzing the juice makes each molecule bond to it's nearest neighbouring molecule faster than just letting the natural process take place of VG to VG, PG to PG and flavour to flavour. Anyone tried it?

Highly possible, I have heard of people using sonic cleaners doing similar.
Georgio of El Toro recommends leaving by an open window if possible with the cap off the bottle.
Also heard of a ban marie, if that's how you say it and I highly doubt it. :) A warm water bath is supposed to help too.

Going to Northwich today so will pop in to Northwich vapours on witton st and see what new liquids they have in there.
You can't beat having a decent bricks an' mortar shop that let you try before you buy; must have saved me a packet that place.

Hey jmc, I might try leaving mine by an open window. At the moment, I remove the caps and nozzle tips from my bottles and steep in a cupboard. Every now and then I put the nozzle tips back on, squeeze air out, put caps on, shake the bottles vigorously, then remove caps and nozzles again and steep further. Right now my monkey jizz and battenburg are sitting in a bowl of warm water, caps tightened.

I'll try the frother method though, I hate waiting weeks for steeping. :p

I'm going to buy this
http://wickedeliquid.co.uk/132-10ml-syringe-with-blunt-needle-2-pack.html

and these luer lock tips to slip on, I believe the pink and the green fit best for filling my KF 3.1 side valve
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Syringe-D...Equipment_Instruments_ET&hash=item3efea78d22]

That's a good idea being able to try out liquids in a shop, good luck, hope you find something nice. :) I'm going to order some TripHammer 1ml samples from smoke rainbow, they're really cheap.

I have tried Lordys method.
From my own expierence i have found
With custard type juices, it makes the juice go darker faster, but it still needed a 3 week steep to get the creaminess to come out, so no difference.

On other types of juice, eg. raspberry cheescake and fruity blended types, these were good to vape after about 3-5 days where some used to take 2 weeks to be vapeable.

The milk frother does work, but to me only on certain flavours.
Why dont you try a side by side mix, 10ml each of a diy mix, then whisk one and try them after 3, 7, 10 days to see the difference?

Also i mix at 50/50 usually, and the batteries will not last that long as its quite viscous, iirc i got about 5 different mixes before the batteries were noticeably draining.

also, T-juice concentrate bottles fit the 3.1, i have 3 empty bottles here that i just but in my juice and fill the 3.1

New or revised KFL+ design out at cloud 9, revised top cap and different drip tip.

Damn, i've only had my KFL+ a few weeks.....

I'm looking to build a new PV, think i will try a mech mod this time. Can anyone recommend an RBA, i want something that give nice warm vape, atleast on par with the KFL+??

Cheers

Cheers j.col, good to hear some feedback about this. For just £1 for the frother, might as well give still it a try. The side by side is a good idea. DIY will be the next thing for me, I need to research a little more about how to do it properly and then buy my ingredients and tools.

Its definately worth it for a couple of pounds, as it does work for some flavours.
If you are going down the DIY route, here is a decent beginners guide for you to peruse
http://allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/21122/beginners-guide-mixing?page=1&scrollTo=393373

But all i usually do is find a recipe on what i think i would like, then using the ejuicemeup calculator, put in the desired percentages etc.. which tells you how much of each ingrediant is needed and put them into a bottle and wait :D
Its really very easy.
Loads of recipes here http://allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/board/40/recipes
Then buy some Nic base, PG and VG and flavourings.
I get nic base here at vapers emporium http://vapersemporium.co.uk/index.php?id_product=29&controller=product&id_lang=2
If you vape at 12mg, then 250ml of 72mg is enough to make nearly 1100ml of juice lol, which at 3ml per day will last you exactly 1 year lol.
PG and VG can be bought from classikool off the Bay or VG can be bought in boots.
Best range of flavours imo is chefs vapour site, it does capella, PA, t-juice etc...

Excellent info Col, it crossed my mind afterwards about different types of eliquids reacting differently to various steeping techniques.

At the Northwich shop, I didn't bother trying anything or make a purchase, got a ****** cold; the Mrs got some more FreedomSmoke USA Gummy bears, she loves it.

*Edit. That's weird, sure your last post wasn't there a minute ago Merlin.
Any way, bloomin' eck, splendind selection to go at there; got to be a few keepers in that lot. lol I'll keep quiet, don't want to curse you, what with your current luck with flavours. :D

If you have a cold, i would recommed T-juice's Affro Dizzack juice.
It tastes exactly like the old fashioned cough sweets, great for a palette cleanser or when u have a cold ;)

Merlin don't put the triphammer fruit pastels into a poly tank as it will knacker it. Lovely juice though. New Kayfun tank arrived this morning... :(
