Cyclist Assaults Lorry Driver

Trucker tries to help cyclist and that's what he gets!

Trucks often have to use narrow roads, not by choice if they can help it, I promise you!

Cyclist seems to think he's a traffic cop, with a bad attitude!
I've met his kind before, but got off lightly by comparison!!

But cyclists apply this logic to car and truck drivers on a regular basis...

That's probably because it's incredibly rare to see drivers who aren't actually breaking the law, and as a driver and a cyclist I personally break far more laws in the car than I do on my bike.

Some cyclists, I'd say the majority of the anger from cyclists is because the actions of car drivers can easily kill a cyclist and many don't seem to realise this, the same as how motorcyclists rage too.

Ofc the helmet cam wearing nut jobs uploading videos to YouTube does cyclists as a group no favours but this is no way reflects the majority of cyclists.

All white van men whistle at girls, white Audis are owned by *****s, all BMWs are drug money owned. Oh wait, that's just a massive stereotype.

What does paying road tax have to do with anything, there is no such thing, I assume you mean vehicle excise duty.

If you own a car with £0 VED, do you have less rights than someone who pays £450?

If a vehicle has to pay tax for use of roads why should a cyclist not? Last time I knew it was a mode of transport. It seems lately that cyclists think the road is for them and motorists are the ones who shouldn't be using the road. You get more global warming and foul emissions from a cyclists mouth than you do a car :p Bunch of angry two wheels idiots - as said, about sums the majority of cyclists up.

Read up two posts.

What is your opinion of a car with a "road tax" of £0?

:rolleyes::rolleyes:

That's not relevant. The majority of roads are designed for motorists not cyclists. If cyclists don't like vehicles along side of them find an alternative route that no vehicles travel on or a designated road that has a cycle lane. Simple!

Ok guys picture the scene.

Cyclists gives 2 fingers to HGV driver. HGV driver gets out to have a "word".
Come on...The HGV driver got out to give him a slap and got his ass handed to him.

Just google road tax and it still brings you to VED. It says road tax, yes I'm fully aware "road tax was scrapped" but the majority of people you talk to would commonly say it as road tax or car tax  You're just trying to bump your ego and IQ by trying to be politically correct. As I say roads are designed for motorists not cyclists, don't like it? then go find your designated CYCLIST route. Plenty of them...Councils seem to spend more money on cyclists than motorists, a prime example is a local cycle track that cost in excess of £900k + here in York, guess what? No cyclists use it!
