New Konami MGS V game comparisons.

I certainly wouldn't.

The game would look better and generally 60fps is not required for this type of game. It's hardly a fast paced game after all.

I guess when/if they release some direct comparison screenshots between those two versions, the difference will become more clear, but they both look pretty good from where I'm sitting. A lot of people are still using 720p displays though and 60fps will certainly make a bigger difference to how the game feels, so that's presumably what they were aiming for here.

It's not trolling, you just don't like what they're saying.

"It's not dog crap, you just don't like the taste!"

Remember it's not about resolution and image quality it's all about gameplay!

Question is what if one has BOTH resolution, image quality and gameplay......

Xbox 720, everything a 360 can do at twice the price!

Yeah, no. As I said, you disliked what was said, which is fair enough it's your choice but it doesn't mean it's actually trolling. It was factual.

Well that's not really how it works. Resolution doesn't denote visual quality.

Crysis 3 at max settings at 720p will look better than Half-life 2 maxed out at 720p and would require a lot more powerful hardware to run.

It's factual that this generation is a whitewash and that Sony has no competition?

It depends on how you're looking at it, if you're solely interested in having the most powerful console regardless of games available, then it's not an unreasonable statement of claim.

How is it damage limitation?

They clearly don't want the press discussing the large differences instead of just discussing the game at launch.

Kojima said that the versions would be the same at E3 also when he was getting paid by MS to be at their conference.

I don't know why but weirdly Konami feel the need to spell out the exact differences between all the versions of MGS V before the game is even released.

http://www.konami.jp/mgs5/gz/en/products/compare.html

They know that this this will get dissected in depth by DF when the game comes out so they decided to do some of the work for them.

I applaud them for doing this, if only every other dev did it from the off. Then DF would have to do more than click-bait articles and be like they used to be.

I just wish they wouldn't do these face off comparisons and would just present each version in it's own articles, then let the console warriors construct their own arguments instead of giving them the bullets to fire.

So the press are not going to discuss it because Konami were transparent about it on their site?

Of course it'll be discussed regardless of anything Konami says or does.

Whatever, spoffle. It was merely a polite request to keep the bigger Xbox vs PS debate out of a thread about a specific game.

But they're not comparing The Xbox One version to the PS4 directly; none of the comparisons on the website pitch them against each other. They're all last gen vs new gen, intended to show off what technical improvements they're able to achieve with more powerful hardware.

Actually I found that link refreshing for a dev - least its upfront and obvious rather than the usual hidden behind flowery and imprecise sentences. Hopefully other developers will do the same, but they wont - they have sales to worry about which I doubt MGSV has.

Just glad Kojima being on the XO stage didnt mean in the end parity which would have sucked. Still not getting the game til we get a better idea when Phantom Pain is out, I know its got more replay value outside of the 2hour run, but Id rather play both back to back...

P.S. Im sorry but that limited edition PS4 was written in, I find it poor compared to the PS3 ones Japan got...

ps3ud0
