New Konami MGS V game comparisons.

I don't know why but weirdly Konami feel the need to spell out the exact differences between all the versions of MGS V before the game is even released.

I don't see what's weird about it, they're just being up front about what you're getting with each version.

They clearly feel they need to perform damage limitation before launch. Its weird how things are panning out for them to feel they need to do that.

The way OP said it came across as some sort of complaint, like it is wrong of them

I dunno maybe it is a complaint, it just feels strange to me.

They clearly don't want the press discussing the large differences instead of just discussing the game at launch.

Kojima said that the versions would be the same at E3 also when he was getting paid by MS to be at their conference.

Neither next gen version looks dramatically better than the 360/PS3 version.

Depends if your eyes are painted on or not I suppose.

Looks like this will be a recurring theme with Xbone releases.

Not played a MGS game since 2, might pick this one up but I've probably missed too much in the series...

I've completed them all...

I've still no idea wtf happened.

If they are already having to downgrade XB1 games graphics at this stage, what's going to happen further into this gen when they start to target 720P 30 fps even on the PS4? Will they start cutting out effects completely on the XB1?

They will get it running on Xbox as a minimum then go from there.

PC games scale across many hardware configurations of all different powers at the flick of a slider or two. It won't be that hard.

Lets try and keep this on topic - I dont think the majority of people here that got the XO really are unaware of what they purchased or feel necessarily duped into the purchase. I can kinda understand their hope, but where it is unfounded or poorly thought-out I dont see it unreasonable to correct and inform...

But this is kinda like 'kicking a man when hes down' and really makes it hard to actually have a structured conversation regards any differences or expectations of what the new consoles will bring as half the time your (considered) point gets ignored because of the console you own which is rather stupid. 'Shoot the messenger' comes to mind...

Do we really want to be doing this in a years time?!? Its growing tiresome...

MS's Albert Penello was posting on NeoGAF just before launch stuff like:

"No way we are giving our competitors a 30% advantage. "
"All the games I have seen are on par. "
"Have you seen Titanfall!?"
"We invented DirectX. "

They have brought all this on themselves it appears. People who bought believing those lies have every right to feel duped.

So because you have already paid for what's a fre service on PSN you decided to throw good money after bad to keep the circle going? Prob shouldn't have bought xblive in advance as this wasn't prudent for obvious reasons. And you paid more up front to pay more later too. So I'm not really buying into the ' we already paid more and are determined to pay even more for an inferior experience'. Cost would always push ypu towards ps4...

as for playing online. Not sure what the beef is with the ps4, but I'd rather play online with my mates in 1080p 60 fps then 30 fps or 720fps.

There's a lot in the Xbox crowd who like to think that somehow playing online on PSN is impossible with no way to find friends whilst pretending the dozens of free games you get don't exist.
