now how do I turn on FPS counter in Titanfall beta or can I not do that?
 
To get a beta code for the following (lifted from reddit)

Tried it myself and it worked, took 2 hours
Steps:
All you have to do is contact EA at http://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/new/ asking them for a beta access (be logged in with your origin account). They will add it to your account in about an hour.



Select Titanfall from product list
Select the platform - PC obviously
Select topic - Titanfall beta access
Click the "email" link and say that you would like to get BETA access to Titanfall to try it out.

Played for a few hours tonight - generally good fun, I like the overall pace of the game, wall running is well implemented. Performance is very good, didn't experience any stutter at all or noticeable lag on medium/high on my 'kinda getting old now' machine - feels 60fps smooth.

Nothing in the game really stands out as a major selling point for me though. Gunplay feels very familiar, and there's not a whole lot of depth to it. I get why the AI Bots are there but it feels like they should be smarter, and more adaptive as it seems they're just around for bonus points most of the time.

If there turns out to be enough good maps, I could possibly see myself picking the game up for £20-£25, a game to dip in and out of.
 
Firstly; thank you very much to A2BDriver for the Beta code :), unfortunately, while I did enjoy the first couple of games, I just got a very lacklustre feeling over all.

I thought the visuals were poor overall, the gameplay was too frenetic, to the determent of my enjoyment, everything is at a million miles an hour and doesn't cater to many different styles of game play besides run and gun. I did not really understand what was happening besides having to move a lot and shoot at everything, now I'm sure someone will point out to me that most first person online shooters have that at their core, but not to the point you feel a total lack of placement and understanding of the game, creating almost a barrier.

I'm sure that there are some people enjoy the chaos and small child tripping balls on a huge sugar rush, the bright (poor visuals) and the jump in and play style but I'm not one of these, unfortunately. Titanfail from me, doesn't live up to any of the hype surrounding it.

Titans offer a very different style, big, slow, powerful but easily taken down when cornered.

I did enjoy it, but not enough for me to pay it, even if it was free I doubt I'd play it very frequently. Poor visuals, bright colours, good sound, fast, too fast, small child on a sugar trip too fast, however it ran beautifully on my system.
 
CoD +Mechwarrior+ a huge caffeine rush = Titanfall

When initially announced looked promising , but the more I watch footage of gameplay...it seems 'off'

Still, it'll probably sell millions.
 
Played a few more hours last night and still enjoying it, although suffering map fatigue but that's to be expected with the limited selection.

I know some people have some actual technical issues with Origin but mine has always been fine and the download speeds are always top notch. Even the ingame overlay seems much better now.
It's no Steam but its a very good second place client for me, miles better than Uplay.
 
I've been trying to limited myself with this as I don't wanna get burnt out. Already getting tired of the maps in the beta. Might uninstall till release :P
 
Yeah I cant wait for release now! I'm really loving this game, cant get enough of it. It just does'nt infuriate me like Battlefield 4 does. I've never really seen anyone camp, it's just all out action.

You can burn cards etc which give you different bonuses.

I believe in the full game there are also a couple of different variations of titan, not just the one.

really looking forward to release, got mine for around £25 with the link the guy posted earlier. I've paid more for worse titles. i.e BF4!

I noticed this myself but I think it might be because I was using an Anti titan weapon at short range and the game didn't approve. Might be a trade off, you can rodeo and try and kill it but the damage will kill you over time if you use an AT weapon?
 
Is there any way to disable dx11 in this? My GTX650 Ti always aeems to have issues with DX11 games. FarCry 2 and EvE online DX11 cause crashes and so does this game.

Also a way to disable smoke would be great as it kills my machine resulting in low FPS even on medium/low detail. Is it not optimised yet?

yeah using your AT weapon while rodeoing isnt a good idea as you will kill yourself, just switch over to your normal weapon as it ignores the shields and will only take a few clips to kill.
