my new (well, old) motor!

With the bonnet bra removed, and the coilovers adjusted to raise the car 20mm, it's a clean looking car. Good reliable engine and a good amount of space, seen a lot worse for £700.

Not a fan of the bra (would rather save the money spent on the bra and put it towards a front end respray if it ever needs it). Also not a fan of the white wheels. But congrats on the new car. I remember there being quite a fanbase on these in years gone by and I guess they probably still have a following. Enjoy it :) I'm an big advocate of classic motoring and that must be approaching 19 years old now and in quite good condition :)

I know everyone is commenting on the bonnet bra and how they were common as muck in the VAG scene. But you're all overlooking the Laguna front splitter. Which I remember being a Max Power / Fast Car Magazine mod staple. Seen em on everything mid 90s to mid 00s. Probably the most desirable thing Renault have ever produced.

Considering this car rolled out the factory when I was 8 months old and Im approaching 20, its in great nick. I appreciate the wheels are a bit Marmite with the white but currently I like it. May coat them in an anthracyte colour just so much easier to keep clean.
The seller sold the bra I believe. But luckily he has a few spares, Sri front and rear bumpers, Back brake setup and some other stuff. Just need to find storage for the spares :( I know I could use them one day like!
Hoping to have it in a concours condition by the summer and will get a runaround as a daily at that point to keep this immaculate. But for now she's my daily! :)

Are those original Cavalier SRI wheels, just painted white? If he's got front and rear bumpers, you might want to get em and refurb the wheels back to silver. Then you'll have the wheels, bumpers and skirts. I'm sure someone would buy the set. Then get some original GSI wheels and skirts to replace the SRI wheels and skirts you currently have.

Looks nice, very tidy. 15's and fat tyres never look too good on a Cav though so maybe get some nice 16's or 17's, in an anthracite or gunmetal colour.

Can't go wrong with an old Vaux, love 'em, I'll probably be going to PVS again this year, good fun last year :)

you'd struggle to find a decent cav up here, most have rotten away. Couple good condition calibra's kicking about though. My first car was a 8v SRi MK3 cav, was loads of fun till my drunk neighbour ran into the side of it at 2am and wrote it off. Still my friend enjoyed the engine in his yellow nova sr with brown interior :D

I always wanted a Cavalier after my Nova but the Nova was so unreliable I never bothered and my experiences of Vauxhall have always been negative ever since

I still like the look of them in a Nostalgic kind of way but like everyone else has said, its too low and bra looks pants, I like the splitter though

I love the tsw evo r alloys mind! I think I'll keep the cesaro's for now, maybe later down the line change them. Then at Christmas when my insurance let's me I'll hopefully put the c20xe or the let turbo in there :)

Can't complain at anything for 700 quid but who ever fitted the bumpers shuld be shot the pannel gaps are terrible! You need to get the skirts that match the bumpers as well and I'm pretty sure we won't be seeing this in concourse condition it's just not special enough to hold you interest.

Slight aside I'm amased three people survived that roll and can't believe how long he kept filming for before he said **** surely as soon as it flipped the camera should have hit the dirt as he ran to his friends assistance?

I thought that, id be running over **** the camera! Get them outta there.
Tbh I didn't even notice the panel gaps, the bumpers will be coming off for touch ups anyway.
