What have you done to your car today?

Managed to sell the Colt I posted above for £2700, only £99 less than the asking price. Only posted the advert yesterday - had a huge amount of interest so perhaps we priced it too cheap?

Anyway, today I had a lot of work to do so instead of doing it I decided to give the MR2 a wash.

And after that I decided the Jag was feeling left out so I did that as well. :p

:(

I really really wish it still made sense for me to have a mk2 mr2

Lovely MR2, geekman.

Always wanted one of those but never bought one :(

Thanks! In financial terms, it's turning out to be the best car I've had so far. Cost me £1000, has done several trackdays without anything going bang and just passed it's MOT with two advisories that'll only cost me £25 to fix when I can be bothered getting round to it. Gets an easy 35MPG driven gently (which is rarely :p ) and survived a rather ambitious flood rescue mission in Egham last week.

I'm very precious about the Jag, so it is nice to have something I can just jump into and drive without worrying about it getting scratched!

Pumped up the tires, seems I have a slow puncture in one of them (very slow though). Idle'd her for a while to put some more charge into the battery - seemed a bit weak again this morning. Noticed a tapping in the engine, probably an engine mount. I want my SLK55 now, but no, the other half wants to book extravagant holidays

Not today, but a couple of days ago I changed an injector on the ZT-T. Noticed it was 'pinking' quite badly and smoking on boost, and unplugging the #4 injector stopped it.

Luckily I had a spare here - and I was surprised how easy it was. The BMW M47 engine is known for being a sod to remove injectors from, however I was lucky and the duffer just popped straight out.

Total cost: £1.20 for a new sealing washer. :p

Make sure its hooked itself under the bumper... If so everything will just need a smack.

Ok.. I'll go kick it's head in now !!

lol

It's the bottom wheel-arch clip on the nearside where it joins the front bumper.

It doesn't appear to be locking in the hole !

[Edit]

Sorted.
Pushed a screwdriver behind the trim and pressed the front trim in. Then the back trim was out of shape (In the wheel-Arch) so I got a tent peg (right angle bend on on end) and pulled the back trim out.....And gave it all plenty of GBH !!

Bruised wrist now though !!

hehe

Expensive week for me.

1. New brake discs, pads, and calipers at the back, both sides. £300

2. Ran out of coolant, bought bottle of that £7.

3. Low on oil, bought 5L of that and did oil change £50 + 1L £10. Valvoile 5w-30 Fully Synthetic. Didn't have Castrol for sale.

4. For some reason my rear fog light bulb that I never use and the rear brake light bulb both went pop at the same time.
