Greenlizard0 Weekend Football Thread ** spoilers ** [22nd - 25th February 2014]

It was rather funny, the thing is, they weren't under any pressure when the keeper passed it to what Bardsley, just insanely slow, passed it to someone with nowhere to go, but then just lazy all around, another slow pass back to the keeper, no reaction at all from the other defender. Sunderland had about 5 mins where they remembered there was another half of the pitch, but they've forgotten about it again.

I do like Arsenal's new tactic to win though, tranquillisers in the away team's water supply :p

He's an egotistical idiot. This man said if he were manager of Real Madrid or Barcelona he would win La Liga and the Champions League every season!

I can - in a way - see what he's saying. Almost everywhere he has gone he's got results that subsequent managers have been unable to match. On that form, he would go to a top team and win the double every year. (Not to say that he would actually achieve this, of course).

Obviously he's worded it ridiculously and come out looking like a bit of a tit, but I get his point.

Cardiff 2-0 down, possibly Long a inch or two offside, great run behind, held it up and played a ball across the box for Jelavic to hit as he ran on to it and blasted it into the net. Great play, great goal, not looking good for Cardiff at all. Hull have a woeful, really woeful away record yet Cardiff already 2-0 down.

Saying that Cardiff should have a penalty right now, they are showing replays so not sure it's been given, don't think so.

Arsenal are tearing Sunderland apart, Sunderland are making basically no effort though which is bad. Having said that, the goal was good.

Has he, he spent a lot at Bolton, and with no regard for the future or health of the club. If you spend 50mil on a team that is all older/experienced high wage players with no resale value you will do better than a team that spends 50mil on a combination of youth and mid 20's players with some experience but also resale value. It's why Bolton got into MASSIVE debt with no long term player improvements and why they ended up where they were.

At Newcastle he spent massively, on again the same type of players(old experienced, VERY expensive) and they were terrible under him and he is the reason they got into financial trouble(one of the main reasons anyway). He went to West Ham, a team that almost anyone could have gotten promoted and had by a massive margin the biggest budget in the championship(which in almost every case means getting promoted back). West Ham with a bigger budget than MANY teams above them aren't playing well at all. They are god awfu lto watch the majority of the time, his buying has been exceptionally poor value in general, West Ham very badly run.

Arsenal playing better without Ozil?

AS others are saying, Sunderland are basically not bothering to oppose us which makes a comparison pretty hard.

I wouldn't have been surprised to see us better without Ozil currently against anyone, he's knackered. Wenger is an idiot, national/domestic coaches of his have exceptionally rarely played him beyond 70 mins in a game and always rest him frequently but Arsenal have, well this is basically his first "rest" since he joined. A knackered player will almost always be surpassed by one not knackered. A game like this is where Ozil would be at his best though funnily enough, even if Sunderland attempted to play some football.... which they haven't.

I've only really seen Fulham perform this god awfully, not just in a sense of being crap, just playing from the first second like they were completely defeated and they can't even be bothered to try. Cardiff have been as bad, but I don't think I've seen them not try.

This is as one-sided a game as you'll ever see, I don't think it would matter too much who we fielded (so far, inb4 3-3).

I'd like to see Giroud rested the second he gets his third, would be a great to get Sanogo on and actually get him a goal. A youngster getting a goal (or you know, 7 maybe against this lot :p ) would do wonders for his confidence at this stage.

I'd like to see Sanogo, Bendtner and Gnabry on in the second half, not far in to it. Rest/protect the players we have and get them goals/assists/confidence.
