Hospital records of all NHS patients sold to insurers

"between 1997 and 2010 to track the medical histories of patients, identified by date of birth and postcode".

I'd just like to add how difficult this would be to trace a patient 100%.
I do this every day and if all I had was those two things I wouldn't be able to say with 100% certainty who the patient was.

This is the trouble with politics.

We have to win every time, they have to win only once. And by doing sneaky **** like this, they're basically going to turn around and say "You wanted this, look, you didn't opt out, you wanted this, we're the best government ever, we look out for our people"

Then all the politicians go around tugging each other off "Jolly good job" just like in the Eton days when the gym teacher used to give them a jolly good buggering.

"As a result they recommended an increase in the costs of policies for thousands of customers last year."

And here we go.

"between 1997 and 2010 to track the medical histories of patients, identified by date of birth and postcode".

I'd just like to add how difficult this would be to trace a patient 100%.

Your google skills are lacking. A big company could do it with ease.

You will not get a 100% hit even with NHS search engines with those 2 pieces of information.

You just have to cross reference with other records, a computer would do it in seconds.
Have you missed posts on here where they find people?

Thanks Cameron

Stay classy, Tories.

Seeing as I am thoroughly opposed to Labour authoritarian state and departments record of losing data, and I am reluctant to have my data held by a half assed IT project that has been poorly implemented.

So, how do you feel about the Tory authoritarian state selling your data to private insurers?
