Nearly 7 weeks still waiting

What you chose to do is immaterial, the wait is atrocious and ridiculous. Clearly a marketing gimmick, you may go thru it once but not twice.

How long do EVGA say you have to wait?

But you are right, go with another manufacturer that does not offer it as you will clearly be better off there

I don't understand the whinging? It's not like you're left without a GPU whilst in the queue. As Gregster said, just sell it if it's such a trauma, I waited a couple of months, though it went from the high 100s to 0 very quickly.

Yeah, pay the premium prices and then wait forever for a step-up sounds great to me!

MSI 780Ti Gaming Edition is £570

EVGA 780Ti SC ACX for £590

I see your point and £20 is a massive premium to pay! Transferable Warranty alone is worth an extra £20 to me, let alone the ability to step-up to the next big card if you are within the step-up time frame.

The problem is and always has been peeps do not go to the EVGA website and then come here and elsewhere and post made up nonsense.

All the Q&A's are there on the main site or have been posted in their forums.

Why not just sli up some 780's, monster cards. you will be just as happy and so will your wallet.. First world problems in this thread.

Well on a positive note it dropped to 132 today which is a massive drop compared to before. Secondly I did not buy Evga for step up I bought as in my opinion I believe currently they make the best nvidia cards on the market.
Just thought I would share my experience with step up so far and think kinda hope I would be presuaded that going from what it have to a ref 780ti was a waste of time and money considering I will be going tri sli either way :)

Hi,

no worrys, we have no finanzieal issues.
About the time you had to wait. The Step Up get handled like a chanel customer at our end. So every time we do get a delivery a certain ammount of cards do get allocated to the Step Up program. With the Ti cards it did take a little bit longer then normally and I have to apologize for this. From now on it should move faster.

So I opted in January for the step up programme Evga offer. I started at position 367 and today I have hit 182. So by this I have another 7 weeks to wait for the second part of the process. This is going from a 780 classified to a ref 780ti. Seriously considering stopping this process it's starting to annoy me. :(

Do you know how much you have to pay?

What i find funny is how the hell can you knock a program that benefits the customer, at the end of the day you had 14 days to return the card and exchange it or get a refund, but as you did not, what other company allows you to exchange a perfectly working card within the first 90 days to the next models up giving you back exactly what you paid for your card, like others have said you can always put it on fleabay take a loss, and then pay 12.5% fees and then go buy a classified, which is exactly what you would have had to do if you bought any other brand in the first place, it was your choice to wait, as it was to buy the 780 in the first place, id much rather have the 780 classified than a reference ti, and tri sli is over rated imo, and im certain that 3 x 780 classifieds will yield similar results too tri sli reference 780ti's, but thats just my humble opinion ;)
