I have an i5 2500k , is it good enough for this card?
290, 290x higher price with marginal performance boost (achievable by mild OC by the 290 too). I'd recommend the Tri x.
Stick to the non reference designs as well as the reference coolers aren't really up to scratch.

I have just ordered the MSI 290X as it seems a really good price, ive had two reference cards by vtx3d and in my personal experience I would avoid reference cards as they are too hot and too darn noisey.

Guess it comes down to what you want to spend.

You shouldn't worry too much, the Gigabyte is excellent. Plus I've not heard of anyone having problems with the Gigabyte cards.£335 now
Just wondering if i should have got this instead of the Gigabyte Radeon R9 290 OC WindForce 4096MB which is die for delivery tomorrow. Slightly worried about the heat difference, after reading a couple of reivews the Gigabyte gives out a lot more heat (and throttling than the Saphire Tri-X).... unless ive read it wrong? :S
Avoid the MSI!
and whys that? because you have/had a problem? a lot of us are using the msi cards and have no problems
