Just a friendly reminder

It's silly posts like this that gives other bikers a bad name. We all get dazzled by idiots irrespective of whether we drive a car, bike, lorry or whatever.
Indeed.

I think someone is forgetting that certain lights on certain bikes don't give out much light, hence why nobody see's them coming, hence why they don't dip on that corner.

Problema?

What an odd post OP.

Oh dear, looks like some people didn't get the light-heartedness of the thread which I guess didn't come across when I suggested turning your lights off... Do you really think me or any other biker/driver would genuinely suggest that? :)

It has to be said, there's a lot of motorcycle riders around here who use full beam all the time. I understand the need for you to be visible, but it kind of defeats the object when you dazzle other drivers.

Generally though, bikers are no problem compared to a lot of the cretins in Kent.

Well said that man...

murder them all!

Sorry WTF?

1. She states the car is "up her arse". Not sure, as we are unable to see how close he is and, given her decision making skills later, this may not be the case. Let's, however, say he was. He is wrong for doing this.

2. Bikes handle poorly on wet corners. Not an issue with slowing down for corners.

3. Lets driver pass but, prior to this, states "stay with him for a bit"

4. The bikes are then suddenly able to make progress on the road much much faster than before simply to keep up with the car. The same road that the bint videoing it thinks is too dangerous to go fast. Not only this but the lead biker goes on the opposite side of the road and right up to the car that was getting blamed for tailgating the rear biker!!!

5. Both bikers then take the moral high ground when they are blatantly in the wrong!

Did I get this right?

I read it as a biker - and it just seemed a little bit sanctimonious.

Oh dear, looks like someone didn't read ones earlier replies :)

Do you really think that anyone believed that you were being serious when you suggested we turn our lights off?

Seriously?

Another hero biker saving his mrs........

I am a biker and think the car driver has a valid point!!

She was alright going fast when she wanted to catch the car.

Meh

murder them all!

What a silly ***. Her comment right at the start pretty much sums it up "looks like he wants to go faster than me"

Ok... so instead of being a *** about it, how about giving him a moment to overtake on the first straight? Problem solved, everyone goes about their day happy, no-one has to drive like an idiot...

Also convenient how she was filming "David's" bike rather than "David" when it looked like he was about to go over and punch the guy.

That video has properly angered me. So she notices the guy behind wants to overtake and then speeds up at every opportunity. Then when the bloke says let him go past she says she wants to keep with him, then races along at twice the speed she previously was. What an utter, utter cretin.

the viewers comments are all over the place xD one of them saying the guy looks like he's going for a knife or something attached to his belt at 2:38... looks more like he was just pulling his trousers up a bit   HOW DARE HE!!! :p

didn't listen with sound and i don't think it did the subtitles correctly....at least..... made no sense to me most the time :p

caption says she notices the cars lights in her mirrors.... doesn't scream out to me that he was tailgating :p maybe if she gave an over shoulder look we could have seen how close he actually was?

when the dude overtook he did look a little close at the start of the maneuver when pulling into the opposite lane but, to me at least, it looks like the female slows down further at the corners exit which could have quite easily closed any gap behind pretty quickly. the dude stays way out into the other lane till he passes both bikes, don't think he was that close when pulling back in either.

but then yeah... the front biker giving a bit of a chase.... again... what was the point? if he didn't do that the situation ...well....there wouldn't be any situation....guy would have gone right, bikers left.... life goes on :p

I agree fully with the OP sentiment. I think that there are a lot of badly adjusted high intensity lights around and drivers who do not dip when they should.

The best dipswitch placement ever was on the floor by the drivers left foot.
