R280 or 770GTX?

I've just seen in another thread that the reason the prices have gone up is due to people buying these cards to mine? Crazy world we live in.

So, my options then are to either pay a gouging-price on a 280X now and be happy for 2-4 years (depending on what games I buy), pay a not-so-gouged price on a 270 and then upgrade in 12-18 months or to wait.

I don't want to wait, partly because that's a game without end (there will always be something better/cheaper 'just on the horizon') and partly because I am in a position to buy right now, today.

So, folks, 280X for £280 or 270 for £140?

I'd go 770. Mine was awesome at 1080p.

Same as all threads I will add, 770 is a rehashed 680 and to buy it today esp. 2GB is pointless IMO.

I had a 680 4GB @: 1254/7GHZ and it will struggle in some games now and soon at 1080p with best settings.

Look for a 2nd hand 780.
