ditto. i kept getting killed, and the killcam showing nothing. at first i thought some of the players were hacking or glitching or something. but seeing as other people are having this problem with killcams it must be the new patch. hopefully it gets sorted as its really annoying seeing empty space that apparently shot me in the face!

Not sure if it's just by chance, but there were a LOT of Snipers last night.
I'm guessing that because the kill cams are so messed up people have took to sniping so you don't know where they are.

Played with some right numpties all last night. Won every TDM except one with a score twice as high as anyone else in the game on most.
I'd regularly walk into a room, shoot an enemy and another 2-3 of them are just standing there aiming the other way and I pick them all off.
Some of them were so bad I just went around knifing them and got 6 knife kills in 30 seconds!

I LIKE the game a lot playing against these sorts of players. hehe
 
Is there any way to counter a counter?

Tried to knife someone the other night and got stabbed. Then I did the same to someone else.

Seems like stabbing people has become a bad idea.

no that would be ridiculous as then you could counter the counter of the counter, etc, etc, etc.

I got Killzone for 85p, so I have another FPS to play when I want something different to BF4.

I think they need to make the counter harder by reducing the timing window. Basically, the instant you realise you are getting stabbed you can just spam the counter button so you can't possibly fail.

If they are going to keep it in (I don't think they should) then it should be more like a QTE where if you press it too soon or too late you die.


I have only 1 melee ribbon as you have to be behind them to do it and only got that last night after 170 hours of play. lol

Not if there a smaller window of opportunity to press the counter button each time or if it broke the clinch and pushed both players back slightly.

Just read that counters are only available when knifing from the front so no biggy.

Agreed, my first impressions were it was far far too easy to counter.
 
If they removed the biog obvious COD style "HIT A NOW!" button, it would be enough, but its like a big easy red button to press.
 
I love it when you forget you've put an antitank mine down and it suddenly pops up saying you've got a kill. I got 2 double kills and i was at the other end of the map, totally forgot id layed mines.
 
Yeah R3 but you don't need to wait until it comes up to press it. You can just press R3 constantly from when you see them begin to stab you. There is no timing window on it (not for being too early anyway)

Depends what you have your melee button set as :p It's square for me.

The counter melee annoys me. I played a game where I'd been chasing somebody for ages, went to stab them and they somehow turned around just as I was going to stab them so they countered and killed me :mad:

I've done this a couple of times where I've been chasing someone for a knife kill and they end up turning around and just shooting me.

So from now on I just shoot them in the back, as good as a knife kill is, I only tend to go for one if the guy is still, like a sniper lying down.

I wish it would be removed, So many times i've been countered because of lag and the player is facing me in their view, but not in mine.

I have 1 Melee medal so far, and almost complete the Gold melee assinment.

Just cant help but stab people if the opertunity comes up.
 
I have never ever went for knife kills in BF3 of BF4. But I found that Shanghai on TDM was really easy to get them last night. Out of the centre building, you can run around the side then to the left of where that statue is. When the nemy team are spawning there you can get right behind and get numerous knife kills from people being cautious, or snipers on the road.

I have to force it though as my natural reaction is just to shoot quickly in case there is someone else nearby who I can quickly kill too

But it does feel cool getting them. Kind of like headshots when sniping, another thing I don't do often but when you do it's satisfying

Or even worse after chasing them for what seems like a lifetime you either come across a team mate or one spawns on you and just shoots them after seeing you chasing them.....:mad:
 
Continuing on with the talk of knifing, I resolved my problem of no longer receiving knifing ribbons (which stopped me doing assignments). Switched the knife back to the bayonet and it started working again.
