Titanfall (Respawn Entertainment's new IP)

I'll just pre-load on the 10th, I don't mind waiting until the 14th or whenever it's officially released in the UK. Has anybody ever heard of EA removing games bought through proxy? I read a few stories about people buying stuff from the Indian Origin store when they had a 50% sale and apparently EA removed a bunch of games from people's accounts.

Anybody think there's a chance that might happen at all?

While that doesn't exactly answer your question it does essentially relate to people using VPN's etc to play games early.

Somebody always seems to know someone who's cousin got banned because they used the Indian Origin store but it's a myth as far as I'm concerned. I used the same Indian Origin store for BF3 Premium, I used the Thailand store for BF4 and the Mexican store for Titanfall. Nothing's happened to me.

The email does indeed tell you that it's ready for pre-load, I got the same email about an hour ago, but the Origin client detects your UK IP and obviously won't allow you to start pre-load yet. Close it, connect your VPN, start origin again and the pre-load option appears.

See my screenshot just above if in doubt.

Yeah, got it on preload now via VPN, 15 min to go ;)

you are allowed to use vpn. i spoke to EA person earlier in week. also vince said they don't mind you doing it either but they don't want you streaming content yet that is a nono.

I actually had the standard preordered via mexican proxy before digital deluxe was a thing.

10mins on the Origin live chat, got that refunded and then ordered DD via mexican proxy again. No hassle.

I have to say EA get a lot of stick, but Origin's customer support have never been anything other than amazing for me. Compared to Steam who essentially never refund for anything ever, and make you wait a week for a reply from customer service.

I've got a day of nothing planned, so gave it a go. Game boots fine, haven't managed to get into a game yet though. Not fussed, as I obviously never planned to play it today anyway!

Ok, bit the bullet and bought the digital deluxe version. Played the beta and a demo, seems a little bit generic to me, but it's the closest new thing i'm going to get even kind of similar to Unreal, so hey ho.

I am having trouble buying it from Mexico. I can login to Origin and go through the purchase but it is rejected at the payment stage. Tried both paypal and my credit card with a hotel address in Mexico. The error code from Origin just says try again later, any ideas?

They might have gotten wise to it, or need to use your own address? Me and three friends ordered yesterday using UK addresses with no issue.

Make sure you disconnect from your proxy before logging into Origin to go through the checkout.
