I'm really delighted with the KFL+ I got today from vapetank. Was worried it might not match the Sigelei very well but it does.:)

Also received Steamgunk Captain Custard and Vaping King Apple Pie and Custard yesterday, both amazingly vapeable immediately, bottled on tuesday. Hmm, liked Captain Custard from my smokerainbow sample but after vaping it last night, I now find it too rich and sickly, too eggy or milky or something. Very good flavour, but strong. Apple Pie and Custard however is absolutely sublime, exactly like you'd expect with the apple filling and cinnamon. Not getting pastry yet though. This can only get even better with steeping.

Ok, thanks guys.

Think I'll give the iTaste and Aerotank combo a whirl. Any recommendations on best eLiquid/eLiquid suppliers in the UK? Was looking at Paradisevapeuk

Following on from my last post, after some investigations I've ordered myself some Snake Oil from tmax-juices. Seems to be getting very favourable reviews.

Best juice out there imo of course :)

On a similar note, just got some Halycon Haze (Gin's Addiction), it's quite pricey at £11 for 20ml but it is very nice, similar to Snake Oil but with a lemon taste rather than aniseed. So if you like Snake oil then you would probably like this too.

Also - Nirks setup advice is spot on for the money and a good bit of kit to start you off.

After much experimentation, I think I have found the sweet spot for the Kayfun lite using a mechanical mod. You are going to need a 1.5 ohm coil, which is about 7-8 wraps of 2.5 kanthal or 5-6 wraps of 0.2 around a 1.8mm screwdriver. I have tried a lot of different ohms - gone as low as 0.4 ohms (stupidy thick vapour - almost like water in the throat but WAY WAY too hot!). Yep 1.5 ohm is bang on.

Regarding Juices, tried a couple of scopes juice - they were OK - Apple pie is a bit too buttery for me, Peach is a bit too sweet if anything but I got a free sample of Banana and that was the best one.

I'm really digging the Mystic Juice from Cloud9 - Cool Lemonade is permanently in the Kayfun at the moment. In the dripper I'm using After 8 and Vanilla dream, and interspacing that with a few triphammer juices, T8H, Fizzy Trifle and Fruit Pastels.

Gotta love drippers for being able to swap juice on the fly - with a short cotton wick you don't even need to worry about changing it as long as you have emptied the wick because it just sucks up the new flavor immediately. Just swap the wick out every couple of days and dry burn the coil and your are good to go again.

www.scopesejuice.co.uk by far. Apple Tart is my all day Vape.

I've just ordered some, I hear nothing but great things. How about this though,.. someone on UKV sent me some for free last week. It arrived when I was out, and a nanny in the upstairs flat that minds a 2 year old refused to sign for it, so it got returned to the guy in Scotland and I never tasted it.

Thanks guys. I ordered the Innokin itaste vv3.0 & Kanger Aero Tank kit along with some Snake Oil juice. I'll let you know how I get on :) I'll probably upgrade to something more DIY when the battery dies anyway.

Anyone thinking of buying a 2nd cheap kit, or those new users, try this variable voltage Evod with 2 liquids for £17.50. Oh, not to forget register and use code "UKVT22" for 22% off. Oh, also join the UK Vape Trades page on facebook ;)

Got my KFL clone today and have spent the last 3 hours playing with it, its really easy to build and wick(1.8ohm microcoil and cotton) but i'm far from impressed with the flavor, i've tried yaeliq's banana split and turkish delight from 8bit vape, both are a 50/50.

The banana split tasted really bad, the turkish delight tastes ok but not as good as it does in my aspire nautilus.

I was expecting mind blowing flavor because everyone raves about it but i'm really disappointed.

The KFL takes a bit of time to find the sweet spot. If it does not taste as good as the Aspire there is probably something wrong.

Did you clean it properly when you received it? You may be vaping machine oil. What Ohmage coil did you fit? How did you wick it? What voltage are you running your coil at? Does it taste of burnt juice or taste of nothing? Whats the vapour like? Image of the deck may help.

The first thing i did was clean it in hot soapy water, rinsed and wiped it. I made a microcoil using 28awg which came out at 1.8ohms, i've tried settings from 3.6v to 4.4v.

Taste wise, there is no burnt taste from the 2 juices i've tried, when i've took it apart i can see its wicking really well but the taste i got from the banana split was like nothing i've tasted before, the turkish delight is tasting a bit better but nothing to write home about, vapor wise there is plenty of that from both juices.

Maybe my taste buds just dont like cotton.

The KFL user manual gives a range of 3.8 to 4.6 volts for a 1.8 ohm coil. That said you should be getting a good vape from the range you have tried so... maybe you just don't like cotton :)

It does have a distinctive taste which I find is offset by the smoothness of the vape. That and I have absolutely no luck jamming silica through a microcoil ;)

I cant go back to silica though, I have tried but its just like adding razor blades to the vapour now for me.

At the mo i'm vaping turkish delight side by side in the KFL and an aspire and for me the aspire is way ahead on flavor and smoothness, so it seems like silica is more suited to me, so now i'll get me some silica and try to microcoil it or just do a standard coil.

I dont want to give up on the KFL because its so easy to build on and is far cheaper than buying heads for these aspire's.

The flavour on the KFL is a bit muted i find with a cotton wick compared to a silica wick. I usually microcoil mine at 1.5ohm and every juice ive thrown at it comes out tasting pretty nice imho.

I do find silica is a bit more sharper taste wise but its such a faff getting the right wick into the KFL, wasted many a evening trying to wick silica and gave up in the end and have just used cotton exclusively now.

Here is a guide for a good silica wick on a kayfun http://ukvapers.org/Thread-Navy-Nest-Coil-Kayfun-Coil-Tutorial

Also it may be worth trying a different brand of cotton?
The first batch of cotton i tried, it gave the juice a funny taste, yet the second batch works perfect, strange thing is they are both 100% organic

Organic is only about how it was grown, not how it was processed afterwards. I'd bet on one being bleached in something that left a taste.
