If he doesn't want it back, i'll get in touch buddy

Yeah the guy showed me what to do, but me in my almighty wisdom thought i could do it just twisting the wire around the silica, with my fat stubby stupid hands, plus i wasn't burning it and don't have a blow torch, i'll have to use the gas hob :\ i'll try that when i get a bit of spare time this weekend, cheers for showing me that guide, appreciate it :)

I use a gas hob as well.
I also use either a cocktail stick, ear bud stalk or a nail to wrap my coils around, you want something about 1.5mm to 2mm diameter.
Also when wrapping the coils, its not that important to get the coils tight together.
Then just remove the coil from whatever you are wrapping it on, squeeze the end of the coil so all the coils are touching each other, and flame it again until the coil glows red.
Then put coil back onto whatever you wrapped it on, and mount it over the air hole on the kayfun.
And screw it down, remove whatever you used, then either test it with a VV/VW device or multimeter to make sure there is no shorts and to see what the ohms are.

Do you know what size kanthal wire you are using?
I can tell you how many wraps etc... to use
Also what battery device are you using to fire it?

My iTaste MVP turned up today.

Oh wow. It vapes so nicely. It's smooth and sweet.
It's probably due to it not using PWM, some of the harshness you get with the Vamo, SVD, Z-Max etc isn't there.

This is my new daily drive with a Protank 2 on the top

NirK why did you make me realise how stupid I am for spending so much on liquid.
I was justifying it nicely to myself and wife, all last night and this morning I am accutely aware of my folly.
I have to stop looking, any new lorded juice I am a sucker for in this current, flavour seeking mode.
:(

My 1100mah battery keeps giving off the x5 flashes, I believe that is poor connection to the atomiser. It has a new atomiser and still flashes. Pulled the pin a tiny bit, cleaned it, no residue lurking about.

Think the battery may be dying? Had it since mid Jan.

Nothing wrong with pre-made, but it is just a bit of a rip off, I get 1ml or 4ml samples and if I like them I get the 10ml concentrates, it takes some experimenting to get the DIY juices to taste good, for example my FA Ry4 and Uber menthol combo I have here tastes as good or better than anything I have bought pre made, also you can customise your PG/VG and nicotine. It is satisfying when you get a mix which is as nice / nicer than pre made and you can sit there vaping it with a smug look on your face knowing that it cost you about 80p for 10ml :) I have wasted quite a lot of money on concentrate that I don't like, but they were only 1ml/4ml samples so it is not as bad as £5-8 on 10ml pre-made bottles.

Where do you get your concentrate samples b.t.w.?

Flavourart does 5 x 4ml concentrate samples for £11.20 delivered or 5 x 10ml concentrates for about £17 delivered, Smokerainbow does 1ml samples from a lot of brands for 60p each. Good way to find out what you want to but bigger bottles of, LTecigs or cig-eliquid or others do 100ml of 54mg nicotine in PG for about £15, boots do VG 200ml for about £2, and you can get 500ml of PG for about £6, so for about £40-£50 you can make 500ml of eliquid, which would be £1 per 10ml approx. The expensive bit is finding which flavours you actually like as a lot of them are nasty, once you have some flavours and recipes you are sorted, unless the scum at the EU decide to ban nicotine base :(

If anyone's a member of the UKVapeTrades group on Facebook, some handsome chap is taking orders for a MicroCoiling Kit...
;)

Your kits look worth the money, but are they actually worth the money? Seems a lot for £25 posted.

On another note, my expromizer has taken main stage...just trying to find the money to get a Bulldog now...

What is in the kit?

Here's what the New kit includes:

- 1 x Greigster's Coil Buddy (Genuine, Serial Numbered):
Brilliant for building tight, neat coils. This is the Coil Buddy in action:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQfl2UqibuY

-Including:
1.5mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm, 3.0mm & 3.5mm Drill Bits

- A 20mm Nylock Nut for using as an Atty-stand whilst you recoil (rather than risk scratching the Atty's topcap)

- A selection of A1 Kanthal:
3 metres each of:
- 32AWG (0.2mm)
(For dual coils - a single microcoil with this wire will work out around 2.8-4.0 ohms)

- 30AWG (0.25mm)
(For either dual coils - 2x 8-10 wraps or smaller single coils of 4-8 wraps, for recoiling ProTank heads etc)

- 28AWG (0.3mm)
(For single coils)

- 27AWG (0.35mm)
A1 Kanthal Wire

3 metres each of:
- 0.4mm (x 0.1mm)
- 0.8mm (x 0.08mm) (Also sold as "Bakero" and "Fettucine", for building "Tinman Coils")
A1 Kanthal Ribbon Wire

3 each of:
-1.5mm,
-2.0mm,
-2.5mm
Stainless Steel Rope Wick, boiled clean, sterilised and pre-cut to 35-40mm length: This is 7x7 strand and wicks incredibly - also compliments a Microcoil very well, when the coil end is brush-wrapped with a thin layer of cotton (or you can use oxidised mesh - better if you want to change flavours and dry burn frequently).

- A decent amount of 100% Pure Organic, unbleached/untreated cotton pleat (probably enough for a good few months worth of vaping!)

-A decent supply medical grade Alcowipes for cleaning up your atomiser of juice before recoiling and fingerprints after you've recoiled.

- 1x 18G 40mm Blunt Fill Needle and 20ml Luerlok Syringe (Sterile) - perfect for emptying and refilling Atties without losing half your juice.

- All sent in a reusable wallet to keep things tidy...

Dropped the money on it. Feels good to support a fellow vaper. Also nice to see some-one helping out in his own spare time.

To ME the kit looks damn good value for money.

Redmogg is also a very handsome chap ;)

Also, if you go onto the page on Facebook and Message Redmogg on Facebook (you can find his real name really easy) and quite OCUK and your username...he will be forever grateful ;)

Alright guys, you probably get this all the time but I've had enough of fags and need a recommendation for a good ecig kit. I had one a few years back, think it was a 401?? Thin black thing with a blue LED that had a mouthpiece stuffed with cotton that you dripped liquid into. I'm guessing things have progressed a fair bit since then.

Ideally I want something that produces a lot of vapour so it feels as close to a real cig as possible. Also would be handy to be able to plug into USB to be used while sat at PC without need for batteries.

tbh, I've had a look around and the range of kits available is overwhelming.

If you want the best vape for the least money I would reccomend you the following :

EVOD 1000mah £9
C9V Micro RDA £9
.2 Kanthal £2
Organic Cotton wool £2

This would be the best vape you can get in the UK for the least money, if you want a tank however that will not be good as it is a dripper. In my opinion the mini tanks are not very good, or any of the clearos really.

Yeah, I'd prefer a tank I think. Money not really an object as long as it's not stupid expensive.

You could just skip all of the beginner stuff and go straight for a mech mod with a kayfun or russian and you would be sorted for a long time, no crappy replaceable heads or any of that, but you would need to read about battery safety and learn how to rebuild the coils (its not hard)

If you want ego size you could try the DCT tank, I decided I don't like the mini protank 2 anymore because it is too inconsistent and the vape is too cold / not enough flavour.

Aerotank is ok except you have to keep buying new heads for it whereas an RBA you can make your own for about 1p each (and they work better), the battery is ok except that it does not have much MAH and also when it dies in 6-12 months you will have to get another one because its not replaceable battery.

Aerotank is a very good vape, but you must keep it topped up with juice. Adjustable Airflow is a great feature. I love mine - sits on my VTR and I use it on the 150 mile round trip for Physio, 3 times a week. It hasn't skipped a beat, nor has the VTR, I might add, heavy, bulky but bombproof.
