Is it even possible to optimise games on PC since anyone can be using any hardware type available?
I mean Person A could have dual core, £50 graphics card from either of the big two with 2GB of RAM, whilst person Z has octo core with a £1000 graphics card and 16GB of RAM. Then you have all the people in between with all sorts of hardware.
Essentially is it therefore not impossible to optimise PC games?
Same thing with android and iOS, games and apps run better on iphone not because their hardware is better but simply because it's well optimised because there's only a handful of mobiles to design for, with android there's millions of combinations of hardware.
Therefore PC gamers don't have a leg to stand on when comparing specs.
