My Girlfriends inability to do anything at all DIY related is testament to how useless they can be at some things. That and driving.
I'm rubbish at DIY and I don't have a driving licence. Those things are not sex-specific.

Agreed, it just means you are less manly![]()
Disagreed on it just being fashion. The two genders are very different in many respects. Particularly mentally and hormonely. Of course that line blurs from person to person, but generally we are very different yet very alike.
Consider how differently boys and girls are treated from even as young as birth, and weigh up whether those differences in treatment might actually strongly contribute to the differences we see in adults.
Like suicide being the leading cause of death of males between 20-49?
Studies suggest this is due to the "man up" culture i.e. the way boys are brought up differently from girls and are expected to get on with things without support mechanisms in place that women may have access to - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-26543095

Rubbish.
Take a look at history. You will find people equally convinced of the inherent truth of different ideas about gender. Like you, they confused gender with sex and therefore assumed that gender was biological when in fact it's mostly social. There are some aspects of gender that are biological (e.g. there is a significant tendency for men to be bigger than women), but the great majority of gender is social conditioning. That is proven by the fact that gender changes without biological changes occuring. Not only is there no causal link - there isn't even a correlation!
Male people and female people are treated quite differently from birth. Nowadays, sometimes even before birth. It's obvious that would result in some tendencies towards differences, i.e. gender, but even then gender changes without relevant changes in treatment. I think it is entirely accurate to say that gender is mostly fashion.
Pink serves as a good example. In this country, pink has been a gendered colour for a long time...but how it's gendered has changed repeatedly. First it was gendered very strongly masculine, then it was gendered extremely strongly feminine and now it's gendered quite strongly feminine.
States "rubbish" then immediately contradicts ones self with another statement. Right, riiiiight.
Also, thanks for the amusement you provided by making a fool of yourself. You ought to relax you massive girl, stop getting your frilly Knickers in a twist.
